Really great food, service was excellent! Nice view over the Notre Dame but it comes at a cost. Bit too expensive.

Le Tournebievre sits across the street from the Seine, within sight of Notre Dame, a little east of the busiest part of the Boul'Mich area. It's a fantastic location, and the interior has a simple charm. The menu changes, so one could easily visit more...More

Everything was adequate but nothing special... and it is overpriced. All entrees are 25 earos so my plate of [well-seasoned] vegetables cost the same as the fish dish. Hmmm. The escargot were tasty. The duck is fine. The one beer they stock is excellent and...More

This fabulous little restaurant is on the Seine in Paris and looks directly across to Notre Dame Cathedral. Dinner at Le Tournebievre was a highlight of our trip. The trout tartare was the best I have ever tasted and my husband loved his Pate Partin....More

I had dinner at this restaurant with 3 friends. I am vegetarian and the choices for me were very limited. The quality of the food was fine, although nothing really was at the level if being worth mentioning or remembering. The restaurant itself is also...More

As the bustling center of entertainment for the

surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide

Description
On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.
