An easy walk from the hotel. A very hospitable waiter who was most patient with non-French speaking customers. French onion soup was incredible. No one ordered anything that disappointed.

I visited this restaurant as it was close to my hotel. The personnel is very friendly, the present the menu on a chalkboard and explain it to you. This even works if your French is not so good as they speak English. The dishes were very interesting, including some kind of Wok in French style. The food was very good... More

Visited this restaurant during a few hours before leaving on a river cruise in France. Left the Pullman Hotel and walked through the neighborhood. The Eiffel Tower was seen in as we walked around the block--and decided to stop in this restaurant for lunch. Great service, French menu, great selection. Most of the patrons were local which, of course, tells... More

Excellent, quiet restaurant 5 minutes from Montparnasse station that seems to cater for the local business crowd, although prices were not ‘expense account’ level. Short menu, three or four choices for each course, which is usually a good sign. Unfortunately we couldn’t linger but all courses (2 x starters and mains) delightful, particularly the foie gras starter and fish mains.... More

Visited this great little restaurant whilst in Paris for business, situated a few minutes walk from Gare de Montparnasse. The typically French frontage provides the clues to the traditional fayre on offer. The food and wine were superb, great value and freshly cooked. Recommended.

Really amazing food and the service was amazing too. I recommend them 100% and the service was 150%. The price was good and not over priced at all. Great for couples and families too. Will definitely be back when in Paris again.

Lovely, quiet and and relaxing restaurant. The food was superb, with freshly cooked dishes full of flavour. prices are in line with the usual Paris costs, but really worth every penny. The service was excellent and the waiter was very attentive and brought full baskets of fresh crusty bread. Will definitely come back before we go back home.

We have been staying in the Montparnasse area and following a great meal on New Years Eve , returned for another evening on our last night in Paris. The food was delicious and prepared using local produce and typical French menu. The wine list was contained but carefully chosen. I doubt that you would experience anything better locally and we... We enjoyed a wonderful dinner here on New Years Eve. The host was diligent in looking after all guests needs. The wine and champagne well chosen and the food was varied and delicious. Ambience and service first class.

The grandly named Château de l'Ouest is just a short walk from Paris's Montparnasse train station. It is a wonderfully French restaurant dedicated to the panoply of French gastronomy. Fran&ccdil;ois Quesnel is both the chef and owner and brings all his passion for different French regional dishes to the Château. He has sourced the very best in locally made artisanal regional produce, some of which can be bought to take away as well as ordered from the menu. There is a wide range of home made patés, meats, fish and succulent desserts to choose from. The restaurant itself has a cosy ambiance and a friendly, helpful staff.
