I am Franch and I went there with foreign friends to make them have some type la French food on our way to Notre Dame cathédrale. They ordered Raclette: their cheese tasted mouldy (which is not right for this kind of cheese). When you walk down Rue Xavier, there are owners of the restaurants are constantly trying to get you into their restaurants.....it can be extremely annoying, but the gentleman who was outside this restaurant was pleasant, so we took the chance. The escargot were delicious, and since it was my first time. That was good. Then I had Beef Burgundy, which... More

Don't get close to this restaurant it's terribly small, DIRTY and the owner is rude and unpleasant, you're bringing work and money for him and he's bothered by your presence! If you want to spend some time eating and chatting with your friends you can't because you've to leave you table free for the next coming. Better don't talk about... More

We ate here late one evening in September. The restaurant was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait for a table. The staff (possibly the owner) was extremely friendly and helpful. The fondue was great and we really like the atmosphere and decor.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
