What a fab area, enjoy a long walk past all the delicious eateries and then settled for €10 breakfast; eggs, bacon, cafe, croissants and fresh orange juice. Made for a happy Sunday morning in this wonderful city!

Walking along rue Mouffetard we thought we would give this cafe a try for lunch, it was noon so the place was empty at first but filled quickly. I ordered confit de canard which was so yummy, my eyes nearly roll back in my head thinking about it now. For dessert, it was the creme caramel. Again, delicious. I am... More

My only criticism is that this restaurant like many Parisian restaurants doesn't have many vegetarian options. My friend's father recommended this place since he used to be a regular while regularly visiting Paris for work. I came here with four friends during a four-day trip to celebrate my birthday and New Years Eve. The staff were patient and kept encouraging... More

Situated in the centre of the wonderful rue mouffetard, we stopped in for a delicious €10 breakfast, omelette, tea juice d'orange and the freshest bread buttered for us. Wonderful friendly service. A real French find ❤️

Great quality of foof and wines. The best hour to be there is at noon or late at night. Plus it is located on one of the corners of Mouffetard street.

Wife pulled me in and I was upset because I wanted a full restaurant experience but this was a small French bistro. I ate crow along with a delicious meal. She ordered the cossolette fromage which was amazing. Potatoes, choice of meat and cheese melted with wine in a bowl and I had a Scallops in wine sales plate. Both... More

We have visited this place on several occasions during our visits to Paris, and have never been disappointed. Cozy atmosphere and good classic food here. Also a lot less "touristy" than the rest of Rue Mouffetard. We are suckers for Confit de cannard, and this place is great for that dish. Would return again :)

We had chosen to dine at the place next door however that did not open till 7.00pm and as we had just arrived we wanted to eat and have a relatively early night after travelling most of the day. This restaurant was open and welcomed us warmly. Wait staff were friendly and spoke good English. Ordered our meals and were... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
