As I have said before I'll say it again, this is a great place to stop by for a quick bite to eat. It was after 11pm and we were in the mood for something sweet to eat, and I remembered last time I was in the area they were pretty delish! So off we went to give them another... More

On a whim we stopped here for a drink. The food looked good, so we decided to get a crepe and a few other things. Believe it or not, this was the best crepes we had on our trip! The proprietor was friendly and nice, very helpful and patient. We had a really good meal, then happily resumed our sightseeing.... More

Fast and friendly service. By morning 3, he had each of our coffee orders going as we entered, ( there were 6 in our group).

I thought croissants were made with butter, not a hint of a buttery flavor here. Breakfast quiche was soggy. I had tried this place a few days earlier and bought a chocolate  crepe with made with Nutella. It was watered down Nutella, and she ladled out the Nutella like we were glutinous. Sure we ordered a  sandwich with it, but... More

We came in (happy) to eat before our trip to Versailles and left extremely upset. There were 3 of us and I ordered for everybody. There are signs with "meal deals" such as a sandwich, pastry, and coffee. We ordered 1 meal & added a sandwich & pastry. Very simple. He then asked what is the 2nd drink. I said... More

We, family bought very nice croque monsieur (hot sandwitch and pizza) and soon enjoyed it in front of this diner. Twelve years old my son believed it the best yummy food in paris. it was lovely fun time.

Marie makes the best cafe creme. Mohammed prepares the best sandwiches and quiches. Do not dare to walk by Delices du Fournil :). We ate there every morning (well, sort of..brunch) on our way put from the hotel to exploring the city. Did not regret it and would come back anytime.

Ordered 2 continental breakfasts(juice, tartine, butter, jam and coffee) baguette came toasted and he ROARED when I queried the toasted baguette. Tartine meant toasted baguette he claimed but didn't listen to me when I said that on the first morning we got regular slice of baguette when we ordered the same breakfasts. I have never been so humiliated. We waited wondering... More

We were so hungry when we arrived - and it was great to stumble upon a place that were friendly and spike English too! We ordered a combo of pizza beer and dessert for 12.50 euro - cheap in Paris. The crepes are beautiful too! Unpretentious busy little cafe if you want something quick and tasty!

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
