We had a wonderful dinner at Le Mechoui. The appetizers were very tasty. Both the tangines (we tried the fish) and the couscous were great. The service was a bit slow, particularly after we had finished our main courses. The atmosphere is quite nice, and the staff were friendly. I would return when I visit Paris again.

This place is a true hidden gem. With beautiful decor and lots of seating, it's a great choice for dinner. The menu is mostly lamb, but we had a vegetarian in our group who enjoyed their vegetable dishes. The portions are huge--no one at our table could finish all of their food. The flavors were aromatic and incredible, and at... More

The food and the ambiance are rather good, even when they lack a more modern and fun twist. Service is kind and efficient.

This Moroccan restaurant is situated on a long side street, in the rive gauche district of Paris. I literally stumbled across it, whilst crossing the road, and having not eaten a tagine for some years was curious to see what kind of experience this could be. The restaurant is large and spacious, consisting of two adjoining dining rooms, dimly lit,... More

Good if you eat me, less so if you don't. My wife had a meat dish which she loved. I had the vegetarian tagine which was rather tasteless. Ambiance, service, and wine were lovely.

I have only tasted moroccan food this good in Morocco or those dishes cooked by Moroccan friends! The food was lovely, lots of taste and generous portions. we ordered starters, chicken pastilla and harira soup. We had the lamb tagine, and chicken couscous for starters. The lamb tagine arrive as a large cut of lamb that had been beautifully cooked,... More

This restaurant had a good atmosphere, with friendly waiters, but the one thing that I took a star off for, was the small portions and it didn't really look as it was described on the menu. Otherwise it was fine.

There are several parts to a couscous course as served at Le Mechoui du Prince. First there is a large bowl of veggies - carrots, celery, turnips, onions in a delicious broth with Moroccan spices. Not "spicy" but very favorable. Then there is the bowl of couscous. Then the warm chick peas and sweet raisins. And a small dish of... More

The restaurant is in the popular Odeon area and easy to reach. The decor is traditionally Maghreb and could benefit from a little more modern spin. The food is rather good with a vast choice of tajines and couscous, all quite traditional too. We had a very decent Algerian wine and the wine list has also Moroccan and French choices.
