It is genuinely fantastic to see an American chef in the heart of Paris recreating traditional French recipes in a more modern style ie without heavy sauces etc. For example. I ordered pot au feu and it was perfectly executed. The stock was crystal clear,...More

Not for you if you are looking for a lively place. Zero atmosphere. No charm. Actually pretty dead and we went on a Friday night. Empty tables. Wish we had eaten in the two restaurants on the same street. My daughter loved her steak frites...More

La bourse ou la vie is a restaurant with a very refined element to it. The decoration is nice and it feels kind of chic inside. However, one of the things I didn’t like was the chairs that are a pain in the back. Not...More

If you are a fan of Chef Daniel Rose you will love this cozy Paris bistro near the Bourse area of Paris! Reserve ahead of time since the place is small and popular during lunch with office workers from the area. Friendly staff who are...More

This is a charming little restaurant, and we had a very good meal. We were tucked in a small back alcove with two other sets of Americans. In any case, we had a great time with the other super friendly diners. I was delighted to...More

This was our introduction to Paris. It was one of the few recommended restaurants open for dinner on Monday. Walkable from where we were staying, it's in a wonderful area to explore. We were early, so we felt very well taken care of by our...More

French food at its best: simple (or looks simple!) and perfectly done. The agneau Champvallon was tasty and perfectly cooked. The crème Caramel has a nice texture and again tasty. Nice selection of wine. And they serve you a superb expresso as you cannot find...More

This tiny space just north of Les Jardins du Palais Royal is a delicious spot to enjoy lunch or dinner. Their steak frites is simple and well done, which I think describes their overall style. The dessert was a surprise- a citron sorbet drizzled with...More

The atmosphere is very grey flannel suit. So near the Bourse, you expect people to come from business to relax in this place. The food is very fine. Excellent quality. Excellent preparation. Pleasant and unusual wait-staff. Must return.

I was excited to go to this restaurant and this did not disappoint. We visited this restaurant for my fiancée birthday celebrations in Paris and we both had a great time. While ours was a couples visit, it feels like a restaurant for all occasions....More

Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle
époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades,

modern day workers continue to take advantage of the
legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th
century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and
cinemas sit side by side with French bistros
predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in

La Bourse et La Vie is a traditional "Bistrot du Quartier" conveniently located between the Palais Royal and the Bourse de Paris in Paris' 2e arrondissement. The restaurant offers guests the epitome of French gourmandise - the highest quality ingredients, excellence in the kitchen, abundance, generosity, and of course, a respect for tradition.
