Very reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. What you get is traditional homemade French food with good produce. Nothing fancy, but nevertheless very good. Would have given it a five-star if it had not been for the highly disappointing red wine.

Popped in for lunch before our visit to the Musee d'Orsay. Lots of locals. Had the duck confit with fries. Very tasty. Reasonable prices. We would have eaten here again, had we been on the neighborhood again.

Good fast and very affordable prices for basic French food near musée d'Orsay. You can order entrecôte, tartare, but confit de canard is the best choice. Salades are good as well. Main dish or big salade 11 EUR, same for 0,5l of wine and 5,5 for desert

Wonderful food exceptionally well priced. Stellar house wines, steak frites, tartines, roast chicken and divine savory mashed potatoes. Friendly service with option for English menu and bilingual staff. Atmosphere is pure Parisian...stylish restaurant was full of locals. Highly recommend if you are looking for post-d'orsay meal.

If the lunchtime options at the Musee d'Orsay are too pricey for you, try this cosy street-corner café which is popular with locals. Despite the crush our efficient waitress found us a table and served acceptable steak and salads with good humour and banter. pemblin advises going for the atmosphere rather than something special by way of food - as... Dine like a Parisian! Amazingly friendly staff and excellent food - large portions, well prepared, and really well priced. Cozy and busy with locals. Close to Louvre and out of the zaniness of the main drag. Highly recommended!

Altough service wa rather friendly at Cafe de l'Empire we had the worst meal in probably 25 years. We both had a steak with blue cheese, frites and green salad. The skin of mine was really burned and tasted and smelled like it. My friend's steak was very dry, tough and really looked like someone had tried it before. We... More

Yesterday's bread, a long time ago cooked meat and fish. No 'le menu', just 'la carte'. Indifferent waiter. WORST RESTARAUNT EVER.

We stopped for lunch after picking up our Paris Passes. We order the daily special and a Salade Nicoise. The food was good and came pretty fast. We had a beer and a glass of white wine, which drove the bill into the very expensive category. Experienced slight shock at the 34 Euro tab for such a simple meal. Service... More

We stopped at this wonderful Café and had a delicious meal at a wonderful price. My daughter had steak and potatoes, that was a generous portion, my mom had a chicken dish with mashed potatoes and I had a delicious salad with fresh mozzarella that was grilled and was fantastic. I also ordered a side of French fries and was... More
