We enjoyed Easter lunch at this restaurant earlier this month almost three years to the day we first visited. The quality of the service and food is as good now as it was then. The restaurant itself is a beautifully maintained Belle Epoch jewel that...More

We came late for our dinner as we were jet lagged, and were quite brusquely told to hurry up and order and eat, as the next seating was at 10.30-11 pm. I guess some Parisians eat very late. The food was hot, prompt and very...More

Unfortunately we were sat in between the toilet and the kitchen. I know it's a small place but it's not what you expect when you book. It's a tiny place so it's somewhat understandable. The food in our opinion was ok, not wow, but very...More

We managed to get a table for two on spec even though it was very busy. The bookings diary looked full for weeks so I think we were lucky . Food was excellent as you would expect from a small french restaurant . The only...More

A must try in Paris. The dishes are not too big but extremely flavorous. Also, the service is nice. Le chardenoux is a must do in your Paris list.

We chanced upon Le Chardenoux cutting through some minor streets on the way back to the hotel Boutet, saw how busy it was and the presentation of the food and immediately booked for the next evening (and even then could only get a table on...More

Quiet neighborhood in the 11th - sympa - cordial -- representative and at 39 euros for prix fixe, an excellent value. Two couples enjoyed a quiet dinner in a very typical setting -- tables close, but with the quiet atmosphere that allows for civilized conversation....More

Recommended and reserved by the Hotel Boutet. Great choice. Just a short walk from the hotel. Very French and with local diners which is always a good indication. Also full and need reservation. This kitchen of Cyril Lignac is traditional in all ways. Menus, portions,...More

Nestled between the Seine, Bastille, and Père Lachaise
lies a peaceful side of town where wide avenues and
impressive buildings accompany green spaces and small
parks. Landscaped havens are plentiful, from the Bercy
Park to La Coulée Verte and most impressively the Bois

its doorstep. For an escape from the masses head to

SI je peux me permettre, pour 39 euros, vous vous attendiez à quoi ? Si vous voulez la gastronomie de Mr Lignac, il y a son restaurant à Paris. Là c'est une brasserie... faut pas confondre.

Founded in 1908 by the Chardenoux family from the Lozère region, this authentic Parisian bistrot - actually listed as an historic monument - has seen generations of workers and market gardeners, when the countryside was just outside Paris.

It is the old-style counter, a piece of their history and those little Bistrot dishes - so friendly, generous and heart-warming - that the Chef wanted to give back to Parisians when he took the place over in 2008.

Renovated and refurbished, the Chardenoux has been given a second lease of life, a room buzzing with lively conversation and the tinkling of glasses.

The food served features fine seasonal produce, convivial cooking that is always cheerful and lively with that little extra touch of soul and generosity dear to Cyril Lignac. Like at the Chardenoux des Près, the chef has put together a menu that gives pride of place to genuine Parisian bistrot specialities, not forgetting the finest products from French soils.

In a room that seems almost suspended in time, the ceiling has a painted sky, and there is also a terrace for 20 diners for lunch or dinner outside when spring rolls around.
