Tried to book a table and needed up leaving messages on a voicemail with not one event daring responding. Went there to check as the place came recommended, and saw the place was closed either permanently or for refurbishing. No sign as to what was going on. Disappointing.

I may have underestimated the restaurant by the decor (or lack of it), but I must say the food and the service was impeccable.

If you are in the Sacre Coeur area, do not hesitate to pay La Balancoire a visit. I was lucky enough to arrive around 7:30, before the place got crowded. The staff gave me all the necesary detail regarding the menu of the day in perfect english, and the recommendation was spot on. The steak was great, eventhough it wasn't... More

We were delighted by this little find, thanks to TripAdvisor. It was a one-man and one-chef show in there. Our waiter was superb: he was friendly, attentive, walked us through the whole menu in English, and kindly offered to make me his specialty non-alcoholic cocktail since I'm pregnant (which was delicious). The food was outstanding. We both started with the... More

Booked online in advance and welcomed when we arrived to a cosy restaurant with attentive and thoughtful staff who took the time to talk and explain the menu. Starter for the undecided not to be missed, celery soup to die for!! Whole experience thoroughly enjoyable with excellent flavours to all dishes. Would definitely recommend, but you need to book to... More

I will try to be truthfull. The service was great but i was nearly sat on the lap of the person next to me. Very tight seating, as if you were sat on a communal table, but some people may like this.....not me or my wife. We both had steak and i have to say that being someone who works... More

Visited this restaurant with my wife while in Paris from Ireland for a rugby match. Lovely quaint setting. Manager/owners attention to detail was second to none. He went through every single dish on the menu and described it to us hassle free. Very friendly man. Food was amazing. Set price for two courses was very reasonable. Could have stayed there... More

We had dinner at this lovely place in Montmatre und enjoyed it a lot. The waitress was very helpful, the wine tasted very good and the dinner was delicious. As usual in France you can combine different courses for a fixed price. So we did that and we weren't disappointed. Definitely a recommendation.

Small bistro located in Montmartre, in the Abbesses / Lepic street area, we offer a seasonal cuisine.

The presence of available candy jar and a swing will allow you to return to childhood for a moment.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
