This little restaurant, hidden at the end of the stairs, served us the best cheeses I had had! The waitress was very friendly and spoke decent English, and she explained to us which kind of cheeses were in the plate when we asked.

Nice little bar, hidden away in the Montmarte quarters, we found it by accident while riding the Montmatrobus, which stops in front of the door. Drinks are decently priced and the 3 course dinner is an absolute revelation (€14 for 3 courses) and realy good, homecooked food

After hiking up endless steps to see Sacre Coeur, my wife and I were in need to food and libations. A very friendly multilingual waiter convinced us to take a seat outside and we are glad we did! For 25€ we got a glass of champagne, two glasses of wine, a starter, duck, and crepes for dessert. We left stuffed... More

We only had drinks, but they were cheap, tasty, and regularly delivered.:) Fun atmosphere, and beautiful location.

Going to this place made me really feel the "Montmartre experience". I don't know how well it rates, or if there are better places around, but for me it was perfect. A nice place at the corner of the street, you sit outside around sunset (no view though) where there are lots of locals, mostly groups of young adults, have... More

The Rendez-vous in Montmartre (not to be or to be confused with a similarly named bar elewhere in Paris) has been a must stop for us over the past 5 years when coming to Paris for its bohemian atmosphere and cast of characters along with reasonable food and drink prices. The main highlight of this bar was the collage of... More

Our tour guide from Culturefish! Tours took us here after our Montmartre Tour and it was one of the best discoveries of our trip. A very local place (not "touristy), the staff was very nice and helpful, the prices were great, the food was quite good and the wine very good as well, we even had an open mike session.... More

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
