Good place to go for a drink - friendly, mixed clientele, decent choice of beer, cocktails and shots

I grew up in Paris and from my early to my late 20's I would go there all the time. Good selection of beer and alcoholic-non alcoholic drinks, pool tables, good music, good times. Food is good too. Staff is super nice as well.

Came for a friend's birthday. Place was packed. Not enough space, too loud and only downstairs bar was open... There's so much nicer in Paris! won't be back sorry...

Came in, had a few cheap brews, played some pool, chatted to locals and tourists alike. They do a lot of happy hour deals and the like. Gets a little rowdy late on.

Stumbled across this pub on a pleasant stroll round the 5th. Stonethrow from the Pantheon. Beer and wine prices ok for Paris, especially at happy hour. 4.50 Euro for most pints of beer and glasses of wine. Staff very friendly, too.

I first discovered this place years ago after not finding a seat at Le Bombardier which is just around the corner. Ever since, this has been my go to place for futbol matches. Since this is my last year in Paris, i'm now willing to share it. Beers good and cheap. Their is an upstairs, but if there is a... More

I've been at this pub with my girlfriend for dinner. We ordered two hamburgers with french fries: they were very tasty!! We also ordered two beers from a very provided menu! The price is very honest for an informal dinner in Paris! The pub at 8 pm was full of student because it's next to Sorbona University!

I should have read more reviews online before making a 15 person reservation there on a friday night. We arrived very early (7:30PM) and were very poorly received with fewer seats and less space than the reservation stated. When I dared ask for the appropriate number of seats (we were 15 people for a reservation for 15 people...) I was... More

Thank goodness we decided to walk up the street to the Pantheon or else we never would have found this place! We had been hitting all the touristy sites for two and a half days and had one more full day to go. We were exhausted and saw this place on the way up the hill. Looked like a good... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
