Whether you're vegan or not, this is the place to go. The best food I have eaten in a long time (possibly ever) from start to finish. The flavours were so intense and each component was carefully thought through so they came together on the plate. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and really represented the Spring menu. The... More

This restaurant is a gem! The quality and attention to detail was amazing and definitely worth the money. The service was great and the decor refined. If you want vegan fine dining in Paris, look no further than the Gentle Gourmet!

We went to Gentle Gourmet for lunch at my birthday and I guess I will remember this experience for a long time. The place is just beautiful, in a quiet location. We sat on the veranda, as it was not very busy at the time (Sunday, lunch time, Paris marathon going on ...). The whole lunch was a delight :... More

This is a popular upscale vegan restaurant near the Bastille. I’ve eaten here several times in the past 4 years – it is going upscale (prices and presentation), and only once have I been able to get a seat without prior reservations (if you can’t get a table, the Thai restaurant Blue Siam located 50m away, down the rue Jules... Excellent service complemented a creative and beautifully presented menu of vegan appetizers, entrees and desserts. Appetizers: asparagus four ways, with three sauces, provided many ways to please the palate. The Sea Inspiration featured "seaweed caviar"-- remarkably similar looking, but without the salty/fishy aftertaste of the real thing. Main dishes: the Famous portobello mushroom burger deserves its name (bring a hearty... More

Let me start by saying you need to make a reservation. We tried a couple of times phoning and managed to get one at 9pm on Tuesday night (which was fine). The started we shared was 'faux' gras which was very nice although I've never tried the real thing. We both had the portobello burger which was fantastic, really delicious.... More

The only reason I've given 2 stars is because the staff couldn't have been nicer, and I did have a really nice cocktail. Apart from that the food was really bland and not worth the huge price tag (€15 for a starter, €25 for a main). I was so excited to come to Gentle Gourmet since it's very rare that... More

We were informed that there was no reservation when we arrived (it had been confirmed 1 month earlier by email and again by phone 25 minutes prior to arrival). The staff was friendly enough, location and environment good but waiting between courses was long. Food: asparagus appetizer/entre was delightful; main courses/plats (I had "Famous" which was portobello burger and family... More

I had very high hopes for this place. I was expecting that both my omni husband and I would be blown away after reading all the reviews. Finding a vegan restaurant is always exciting and doesn't take much to keep me happy. Unfortunately this didn't happen. We went for dinner on Saturday night, had drinks and 3 courses. Some of... Dear Susan, If I understand correctly, your disappointment came from the waitresses inability to explain the different dishes, especially the more original ones, and I totally understand your feelings. All I can explain is very simply that the young woman came to replace someone at the last minute and there was no time for her to learn and understand our... More

Have been to Gentle Gourmet twice - once for their special Christmas Eve dinner and again a couple of months later for a family celebration. Outstanding food and impeccable service made both visits very memorable. Very highly recommended.

Description
Gentle Gourmet is the Home of Vegan Bistronomy in Paris since 2012. We opened as the first vegan restaurant in Paris. We specialize in a generous and gourmet high-end cuisine, fresh, mostly organic and always innovative, with the objective of breaking down the stereotypes on vegan food. We change the menu 4 times a year and offer lunch specials from Wednesday through Friday. Our fine pastries and vegan burgers have been best sellers in Paris.
