Madame Arabian greeted and seated us. She carefully translated and explained each dish on the menu. The food was superb. The foie gras starter combined sliced fennel, dill, and berry sorbet to perfection. A filet of beef entree was fork tender and very flavorful. We can't wait to return.

I don't know how to write food reviews but Les Petites Sorcieres just deserve the effort. I have eaten there a few times in the last months and every time it just tasts so good. Everything that I have tried there is just perfect. Not only the food is great but the atmosphere is wonderful and the chef and owner... More

We went several times there with friends, kids, and family. The food is always enjoyable, with a northern twist, if not very complex, and the staff always friendly and engaging. The location a few streets away from Denfert-Rochereau is perfect. The only thing is that it is rather overpriced for bistrot-type food.

I went here on the recommendation of two locals and was not disappointed. The food was outstanding. I had the escargot for an appetizer, and they were delicious. I chose the canatte (petite duck breast) and was very pleased. For dessert, chocolate mouse--outstanding. A nice bottle of St. Emillion accompanied the meal. It's a bit pricey, but there are prix... I was much disappointed by this restaurant, especially given the high rating in TA. Food not special, high prices, and not friendly service. Quote forgettable...

We kind of accidentally found this place which was near to our hotel and it turn out to be awesome. On first evening we didn't have any table reservations but they had one free table to us. We totally enjoyed of the food and atmosphere they have there, actually so much that we did reservation for the next evening when... More

A step up from a bistro, the dining room was simple and modern. The service was wonderful and the meal exceptional. The menu had a wide variety of choices. I had the short ribs which were excellent.

I was at Ghislaines Restaurant with a friend who has been here several times. We were welcomed by Ghislaine and her son very warmly and it felt like visiting friends. The food was good and the wine recommendations were excellent. You can order specialties by glass which I found great. Really french and not touristy but rather pricy for average... More

Food: The food was mediocre. The presentation was beautiful. The only thing that was awesome was the souffle. Ordered asparagus, some sort of fish, french fries "frites," and an amaretto souffle. Again, the souffle was delicious. The fries were cold and flavorless. Went here based on a recommendation of the concierge at the Marriott Rive Gauche. Terrible recommendation. Service: I... More

Not sure where all the excellent reviews are! We must have been lucky but I doubt it as the place is full every lunchtime - next time we go for dinner. On a corner just down from the natural wine shop, Cave les Papilles down Rue Daguerre, in a well known but not really heavily discovered market type street, Rue... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
