I went here with some locals and had a most enjoyable evening. The staff was welcoming and helpful with the menu, the food was traditional bistrot fare and the ambiance was charming. Highly recommend for an authentic experience.

Beautiful Belle Epoque bistro interior, totally professional service, welcoming, hearty traditional French food. We were well-fed and well taken care of. You can't go wrong.

We ordered the pasta carbonara and salmon - neither was impressive. After eating, we attempted to pay by credit card; however, our waiter explained that their phone lines were down and they were unable to process credit cards that evening. They then expected us to either wander around Paris to find an ATM to bring cash back that evening (10:45pm),... More

Having walked several streets with the aim of eating outside like the french do, we discovered this place but opted to sit inside (though there was a table free outside). Choice of set menu (29E) or main menu (prices varied & at least 8 of each course to choose from). The Boeuf Bourguignon (beef in rich gravy), is well recommended,... More

Arrived very late and yet was greeted like an old friend - the chilled wine being a most welcome calming introduction. Food impressive and service warm and friendly. I cannot believe I've never discovered this place before. Great atmosphere, superb menu, great wines and a delightful and highly professional staff.

Staying close to the Pompidou Centre we found this restaurant on La Fourchette app. Within 10 minutes walk of our apartment the restaurant was just what we needed after a day travelling on Eurostar and seeing some sights. Good menu with lots of choice. I had a charcuterie and cheese plate to start and steak as a main course. Pretty... More

If you are looking for cinema Paris, then this might be a restaurant for you. The cozy decor of dark woods and deep red velvet sets the scene for a traditional meal. And tradition is what this place is about. When you go to a Burgundian restaurant, you really should eat Burgundian food. And the king of Burgundian cuisine is... More

Booked there for my sister's birthday and I had found this place accidentally. The atmosphere is perfectly Parisian and the whole area is a shopping paradise. We had some cured meat and a cheese/tomato salad with mint leaves as an entree and then the filet with sauce bearnaise as a main course. Unbelievable! Meat was supertender. Now my husband wants... I have a thing for salads. I have a thing for duck. I have a thing for Lobster. Put the three together and I'll fall in love. I had been passing this restaurant for 3 days and each day I'd read the menu and all my attention was on this salad. I had known a Salade Gourmande before (with Duck... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
