Went there on a Tuesday evening. clientele all 55 and over. Opera singers were great. I don't care for opera singing but my friend does, so I went. Dinner very sub standard. Drinks not included. 85 euros pre fix menu. The best part of the "show/dinner" was the piano player. He was truly fantastic. However, I would not go again.... More

Wonderful! My husband and I went for dinner and the food and opera were both great! I was skeptical going in - I had been to a similar concept restaurant in Budapest that was like bad dinner theater (is there good dinner theater?). That place was uncomfortable at best. But this is not that. It was lovely and well-done. The... More

We were booked into this establishment for a Saturday evening meal, knowing very little about it. Upon arriving the night began with wonderful service & a brilliant pianist playing in the background. Then soon after orders taken, the waiters began their Opera singing, with some great renditions of popular operatic songs. If you get the chance to attend Bel Canto... More

A fixed price menu 85euros with options . All courses very good , quality wine list , service from bi lingual staff excellent . However the entertainment was exceptional. Tenor, baritone , three sopranoes accompaigned by two first class pianists really made the occasion . The entertainers also acted as waiters which added to the mystique and fun. All songs... More

Second time for us to spend an evening at Bel Canto, and we loved it just as much as the first time! I find the concept of "singing waiters and waitresses" brilliant. It's an excellent way of enjoying a delicious meal while listening to opera arias. Great food, and the service was more attentive this time compared to our previous... More

If you want to experience something different and worth every penny then book a night at Bel Canto. The opera singers are fantastic and it all happens so naturally. The food alone is with the trip and I loved our evening there

We had a lovely time at Bel Canto resturant. The singers were very talented, and it is a unique experience to have them deliver their opera performance just steps away from you. It really brought the romance and the emotions of the evening to another level. But the food just gets a passing mark. It's average, flirting with mediocre for... More

Bel Canto is not an Italian restaurant, as one might imagine given its name. Bel Canto in Italian means beautiful singing, which is what you will hear while dining. Some of the servers also double as performers and what a performance, such talent! The menu is inventive and good, but no more. On a less enjoyable note, we watied an... More

We visited with our teenage daughters and had a great night. The room is cosy and packed full of people having a good time. The staff were attentive and the service was quick. We booked through The Fork on line service and received our 20% discount. The meal was good and the drinks reasonably priced but the highlight was the... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
