We went for dinner in this French bistrot, and we get a good meal. The staff are friendly, you can't complaint about food, it is good. This a typical french bistrot, you fell the "warm" even from the owner. You can spend a quality time there.

An atmospheric, typical old style French bistro, oozing character and charm. Entrance is via an equally charmingnold archade. The food was pretty good. I had carpaccio of octopus, followed by Dover sole meuniere (I asked them to drop the almonds and apple). The octopus was tasty, especially the strongly flavoured olive oil that came with it, the sole was plump... More

We reserved a table for Christmas night and were seated in the dining room separated from the cafe by the arcade door. Ambiance and service were good. My son was pleased with his Nordic plate (except for the Bilini's) but the 2 of us who ordered the Veal were very disappointed. It was tough & therefore not enjoyable to eat.... More

Stopped in for lunch before walking through the Galleries Vivienne. I had a duck and sweet potato dish that was delicious. Finished up with the decadent chocolate mouse (for Americans- it's like a creamy fudge). It was unique being able to sit "outside" in the Gallerie under the heat lamps.

Very pleasant building with friendly and outgoing staff. Meal wasn't up to a good standard for me as it was a Vegetarian Risotto which was so sticky it stuck to the roof of my mouth and teeth. I don't normally drink during a meal but in this instance I had to so that my palette was kept clear. Toilets weren't... More

I had a lunch rib eye steak and a fillet for dinner. The rib eye was excellent and was a large amount of food, served with French fries and a small salad. The fillet I asked for medium rare and was a little undercooked for my standards. Atmosphere is very cute.

It is close to Galerie Vivienne, which is like Galerie Lafayette, but smaller. The place environment is really cool typical french bistrot, and the waitress was from French Guine, soo nice to us! Spoke french and english so, that is helpful although we could speak french. We ordered the raw ham with aurugula, mushroom risotto, and beef. Definitely recommend it!!... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
