I was there twice and it's very iconic place in Paris . We drunk there coffee and ate butter bread . It's not so more expensive then others . It's in st German street , good located and cross with les deux magots. It must be their best opponent.

The hot chocolate was unlike what I have tasted anywhere in the world, it is simply amazing. It is the creamiest, chocolatey, smoothest tasting drink, very hard to put into words, it is like liquid gold. The atmosphere and surrounding are beautiful, really a nice place to visit and take in a meal.

We came here as part of our weekend trip to Paris for breakfast and we were so excited to have some traditional french croissants. You can't book so you have to turn up and hope you'll be seated. The staff weren't that friendly... it was a kind of a "we're so popular that we don't need to make an effort"... More

We ordered tea, eggs, toast and butter and St Marcellin (which I expected to be room temperature and was really cold) It was a lovely pit stop and I would definitely recommend - it's a really great... I am unsure if the bad reviews I have read tonight upon returning from Paris are true or fake from competitors or very old - my partner and I came here for drinks several times during our few nights stay and for breakfast too. Yes it's expensive however the whole of Saint Germain is - I don't see why this... More

My wife's favorite breakfast spot ! oeuf a la coque. About 40% more expensive than any other place even in the area, but still a top spot for people watching and the food is good !

They have the menu both in english and french. Also, the staff is very kind and gentle. As you could see in the pictures, the place is clean and beautiful. I strongly recommend the hot chocolate. It is delicious!!!

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
