We were there for lunch after a visiting The Catacombs. The service was good and the food came quickly. I had the gnocchi which was very tasty.

Friends recommended this restaurant and we decided to go on New Year's Eve. They don't take reservations so we decide to go in at 6:30pm to beat the rush. The restaurant was half empty and they told us that they could serve us outside (it was a very cold night) under the heating lamps because the waitress said that the... More

Sitting outdoors in Winter, under discretely installed heat lamps, enjoying delectable entrees, is one of the more pleasurable dining experiences for which Paris is famed. Each of the selections was superb, from foie gras with toast points, Romaine hearts salad with chicken breast to duck breast and red wine served at the perfect cellar temperature 55F (13C). The food and... More

That popular is extremely popular (surely for the quality of the food and the location). So you can wait up to 1 hour (maybe more) in the queue. I got the lamb with a delicious mashed potatoes with olives (approx 26€) and a fernet with coke. Meat was good, atmosphere as well.

We have got a table on the spot luckily because to book it in an ordinal way you have to pre-book a table up to two weeks before the date. The place itself is simple - just attached to the hotel. But a very hot spot now. You have a fix menu which cost $60/person and vine you buy on... More

Every time when I come to Paris, I come here to have lunch. Because this is one of my favorite restaurants on this planet. They do not have English menu, but even I can not read French, they are very nice to help my order. The taste is just like food which I will never make by my self. It... More

We had a 7:30 reservation and while we did arrive 10 mins late, our food didn't hit the table until 9:32pm. Drinks didn't come in a rush either, as it took nearly a half hour to get a half bottle of wine (water didn't come until nearly end of meal despite repeated requests). The food was heavy, and so immersed... More

We arrived 715 as no bookings are taken. The restaurant is always busy and the queue to get in started around 745 - lucky we got in. We chose to sit inside to avoid the smoking usually associated with outdoor dining. The dining room is tight but by no means uncomfortable. Everyone was happy sharing the space and indeed we... A wonderful little restaurant in Paris. The food is absolutely stunning traditional French food, and you can tell that the ingredients are very fresh. Service is quick, and it does get busy as it is so good. If you are in the area definitely stop by. If you are elsewhere in Paris, it is definitely worth the trip! It also... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
