Before visiting Arpège, I recommend that watch, if possible !, the Netflix, Chef's Table, France - documentary #1 so that you understand the journey of Alain Passart, from traditional, meat-focused to seasonality-conscious, vegetable-obsessed Chef. It is a moving journey of success and yet disaster, of reinvention and renewal. Understanding that Passart broke down and could only come back to cooking... More

Located by the Army museum, this restaurant’s exterior and interior are (probably intentionally) somewhat unprepossessing and understated respectfully. The interior contains tables that are quite close together and seats probably 40 covers; I was given a solo-table near the front desk to watch all of the action. This was the first of two three-star meals during my most recent trip... More

Words cannot describe the experience L'Arpege has got to offer - this is a must-try for anyone in the Paris area...period. WAY beyond expectation, start to finish, in all aspects of cuisine/dining.

It was very good, but price was steep for what it was. Went for lunch and took the surprise menu. Two dishes were exceptional, one not good, and the rest very good.

We sat in the basement cave area and had the tasting course with wine pairing. It was an unbelievable experience that will not be forgotten. Every detail is considered here, even from the women getting a menu without prices listed- this place is phenomenal. We had to make a reservation three months in advance, but plan on it if you're... L'Arpege is devoted to vegetables, and my husband and I love veggies. L'Arpege prepares them in some very unique ways: a beet sushi, vegetarian wonton soup, an onion-lemon gratin with cheese. We devoured everything. That being said, I would not bring my steak and frites friends to join me. L'Arpege is unique, and one should go there expecting the unexpected.... More

The food was out of this world, simple food but cooked properly to a few delightful twists. Yes there was the signature hot/cold... More

One of my most amazing dining experiences. Hours were spent savouring exquisite culinary delectable dishes. Worth every second and it's worth it pricewise! Thank you Monsieur Passard for your welcome :D

My husband and I ordered the lunch tasting menu and Terre & Mer menu. As soon as the server set down one of the plates of food (leeks), I saw a long blue string on the leek. It was very evident and frankly I'm shocked the server didn't catch it and the no one else caught it. I immediately pointed... More
