The line for take out was down the block and the line for eat in was even longer. Even though it was a crisp cold day, we ordered our sandwich and waited nearly 20 minutes to get it. We then had to find a place to stand and eat it on the street. We ordered one fallafel for 2 people... More

We were so excited to find and see the short line as soon as we discovered the pedestrian street of the Jewish quarter in Marias that we paid the guy taking the orders outside and made the cue. It was 11am on a Thursday. Had no idea you could eat inside. Still this was great fun and once we settled... More

This is not my favorite food, but it was a good sandwich. For the type, this is a very good place. Don't expect many choices for drinks, but there are 3 different beers.

I lived in the Marais in Paris almost ten years ago and ate at L'as du Fallafel all the time - it was one of my favorite places. I returned last weekend for an anniversary trip with my husband, and I am happy to report the food is as good as ever. If you like falafel, you MUST eat here.... More

Hole in the wall restaurants excite me for the no-frills approach. On my trip to Paris, I made it a point to try out this place which is all over social media. My falafel was stuffed and doused with yogurt sauce just the way I like it. I even added the spicy sauce for that extra kick. If only Paris... More

We ate inside so it was more expensive (30-some Euros for two). Staff members spoke enough English to communicate our orders. It was a very good Fallafel and worth a stop if you're in the area but I don't think I'd go out of my way for it.

The atmosphere is chaotic and vibrant. Be prepared to sit close to strangers - all part of the vibe. Also be prepared to line up at peak times. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is fresh and delicious. Excellent "chicken steak", falafel and humous. The mint lemonade is very refreshing. It's the perfect spot to refuel after... Can't beat it! Right in the middle of a great bunch of Jewish bakeries and spots, and it's terrific. Excellent falafel, they have interesting unique canned drinks from Israel, and the entire vibe is excellent. Don't miss this one.

Many years ago we stopped by here by accident to grab a quick bite. It was without a doubt the best falafel we've ever had. We frequently visit Paris and stop here every chance we get. And it never disappoints.

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
