Good food and quick and gentle service! The chef stop by to "teach" how to better eat the meal and have a more tasty experience!!!! Good! Worth it!! Average price as well.

La Caspienne is an old family restaurant that has been around since 1977. It claims to serve Persian and Greek family cuisine. Over the decades, the Persian touch must have vanished quite a bit, since their kebob basically are Greek souvlakis. The only Persian touch I could find was the saffron rice (served in very small quantities). It sounds cheap,... More

14/3/2015 Staying in Le Six hotel this place is only a few doors down and made perfect sense after a day walking around Paris. Restaurant: Welcoming from the start, English speaking and a cosy little place. Staff: Welcoming and polite, did nothing wrong or anything amazing Food: Not the greatest meal I have eaten, but it was cooked well, hot... More

We ate here two nights ago when we spotted it just down the road from our Hotel le Six. The hosts spoke good English and have English menus. My wife had the Avocado with prawn entrée, prawn dish for main and sweet honey pastry for desert. She said they were all excellent. I had the scampi entrée, a lamb and... More

Family of 4, kids aged 8 and 10, lunch. Over a week of being in Paris, this was the only place where we had bad service and a rude server. Tried to speak French and the waiter laughed in our face. The bathroom was "out of order" so I had to walk a block to another restaurant and buy something... More

My girlfriend and I were originally looking at Chez Marcel just up the road past La Caspienne due to the excellent reviews, alas it was closed. La Caspienne was fantastic, and totally unexpected as it was a find without the help of TA! Very friendly owner who's had the restaurant over 40 years and still serves dishes he was serving... More

We visited this restaurant as it was a short distance from our hotel (Le Six) but returned twice over the next 10 days because we had such a good time. Like many of the restaurants in this part of Paris, it is small but its food, which has a Persian influence, was reliably delicious and very reasonably priced. We were... More

We fell upon this restaurant as it was conveniently close to our hotel. It was all ok but nothing to get excited about. food, service and price all fine. The wine was good value.

This is a fusion of Parisian and Greek food. It was absolutely delicious, one of the best meals we had and very inexpensive (we had 2 courses each and a bottle of wine, just over 50 euros). We opted for the cheapest bottle (14 euros) and the waitress asked us if we had had before as it was a very... More

We found that little Restaurant just by chance while walking through the streets and looking for a place to eat. So arriving without reservation we were offered to choose between two tables. The menu list offered a good variety of different food. The dished we had chosen had excellent quality. Service was very good and friendly. Le Patron appeared on... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
