Just visited with my family from Australia, found this restaurant on TheFork website and booked it before we arrived in Paris. I live in the UK and wanted somewhere nice to take my family. Not knowing the area and of course having so many restaurants to choose from didn't have a clue what to pick! This was great, very busy... More

My husband and I recently visited this restaurant whilst staying in Monmartre. The staff were very accommodating and the atmosphere here is great. We hadn't booked and we're lucky to get a table as it was super busy. The food was spectacular and neither of us could finish as big portions. Price is reasonable and this place is definitely worth... More

We decided to visit La Rughetta based on positive trip advisor reviews, and were not disappointed. Located a 3-5min walk from Blanche metro station and the Moulin Rouge, La Rughetta is nestled at the top of a winding Parisien road, opposite the former residence of one Vicent Van Gogh. We had booked online but when we arrived requested if we... More

the breakfast menu is sadly lacking in choice and is expensive for what one gets. the staff were very pleasant, but the service is a bit haphazard; we were a group of 6 and 1 of our group received their breakfast after the rest of the group had finished theirs!

We stumbled on La Rughetta while looking for the Van Gogh residence nearby. Early Sunday afternoon, but the place was packed. We planned to order the mixed Italian meats as a starter with two pasta dishes, but the waiter suggested that we try the starter first before ordering the pastas. As it turned out, the meats were quite large. We... More

Went here on our first night in Montmartre. Just around the corner from the Terrass Hotel and also the good reviews led us. Good food and wine at reasonable prices with good service.

When you've had enough of the fantastic French bistros, cafes, and brasseries and are ready for a break - treat yourself to this excellent Italian restaurant in Montmartre. It felt we were visiting family serving fresh homemade pasta with attentive service likely from one of the co-owners. Tip: make a reservation or order a pizza to go.

Me and my boyfriend made our dinner reservations here on new years eve. We were on a five day trip in Paris. I just loved everything! It was such a cosy place and the food was delicious. Great (and funny) staff, we just had the best time. Thank you La rughetta, we'll be back!

Based on TripAdvisor reviews we reserved a table for new year's eve and had an absolutely lovely meal. The NYE menu included four courses and a choice of champagne or martini cocktail for 60€ a head. The food and wine were both excellent - the black truffle raviolone was delicious - and the waiters were very friendly and attentive.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
