Recommended by our concierge, we went to boeuf sur le toit for diner on our last night in Paris. We had a very pleasant experience. Tuna Tartare and smoked salmon for starters, followed by two chateaubriand cooked to perfection. Finished the meal with a delicious lemon pie and (sadly not so wow) baba au rhum. The service is good, but... More

We had a Roquette salad, arugula and artichokes, and an avocado/crab salad for the first course. The Roquette salad was delicious. Our mains were the sole meuniere. The fish was buttery and delicately flavored and simply melted in your mouth. A bottle of the Sancerre Pierris paired well with the fish. For dessert we shared a taste citron. A delicious... More

Just poor. I do not know if this is because it was a large group and maybe the organizer picked a cheap menu but uninteresting food in an uninteresting place. Fish was dull, desert without passion...wine just average. The appetizer - which was fois gras with paim brioché - was served with toasted bread...that is not the same thing. Anyhow... More

The restaurant was recommended by the concierge at my hotel. It was Sunday evening and raining, so I was looking for something close. Very spacious and lovely modern-retro decor. Quite chic looking. Staff were extremely professional and friendly. The food was excellent. A mix of seafood, fish dishes and meat to choose from. Not an extensive menu, but plenty to... More

Had a pleasant lunch here today. One main meal, one desert and one glass of wine each cost Euro 95 for two people. So not cheap. Good, friendly service. I think the atmosphere would be transformed with a jazz band playing but without, it is a fairly bland environment. The food was good but not exceptional. It has a long... More

This is one of the good restaurants in Paris which you will not regret visiting. Quality and professionalism is consistent, food is delicious, service is good and efficient. A large variety of wine is available. We tried Saint Emilion Chateau Cheval Blanc 2008 which was superb. Prices are suitable for the upper-middle income level. I would definitely advise it.

We had fond memories of "Le Boeuf sur le toit" from several years ago. Intimate atmosphere, outstanding service, excellent fresh seafood.... On our recent visit, we found the renovated dining room somewhat cold and noisy, missing its earlier charm. The staff was basically unattentive- never replenishing our water and wine glasses.. The fresh shellfish was very nice - however -... More

The restaurant architectures and interior design was very nice and the live jazz was superb, the sound system and the high quality trio was a delight for my ears but the food and price were not up to par. The menu was too pricy for the quality and choices of the food and the food was not only average but... More

We went here at the recommendation of our hotel concierge, and we left quite disappointed. The service was mediocre until the end of the night when we got our bill. As it was our first night in France and we were unsure of tipping policies, we ask our waiter if tip was included. There was no language barrier and he... More
