This is definetly the BISTROT to try in Paris. Meat is unreal, filet tender as butter, cheese platter out of the ordinary. Can t spend any more words to say how good this food is here

Came here to eat with a large group of friends when in town for the marathon. Greeted by intimidating owner who offered "I'll cook you something special" which we jumped at, especially when he said it would cost €16 per head and menu was generally limited otherwise. We ate a feast of pickled veg and cold pate before the main... More

Jean-François Marie runs the restaurant as a club for his regular guest that includes politicians and movie stars but welcomes the"everyman" with equal warmth. The perfect place for great meat and a bit of star gazing to boot. A caring staff adds to the ambiance. The old Paris is still alive and well at Les Gourmet des Ternes. Prices for... More

Seven of us went to this restaurant for a meal on arriving in Paris. We were bullied into eating a set meal for £16 euro a head only to be served a banquet of food fit for 100 people and charged over 500 euros. The owner was very odd and joked about how we'd be shocked about the bill. Well... More

A not to be missed restaurant in Paris. I advice that you reserve and arrive on time, as the place fills up quickly and turns over even quicker. This is a typical French restaurant with a wide variety of classic French dishes. I opted to start with the snail that were cooked in a garlic butter sauce. Biggest escargots I've... More

Been to this restaurant a few times over the years. I've been either on my own during a weekday or with French friends. This place used to be one of my favourite restaurants in the world! The pepper steak is to die for. I always got served a huge piece of filet steak (around 500g) for around 36 euro. I... More

The concept of this place is cool, they make large dishes in the kitchen and offer people from those. The appetizers are super good, but for a steakhouse I thought the main fillet was average and overcooked relative to my request. I had difficultly explaining medium rare, so requested rare but got a medium to well done piece. You will... More

And above all, you begin by a glance at home made desserts such the paris-brest, the one I recommend. I got as starters some wild mushrooms, followed by an andouillette and then this fabulous dessert. The wine list is well targeted. A typical Parisian bistrot you must try!

Everything has already been said about this bistro. Les Gourmets des Ternes is exactly what it wants to be. The classical French bistro cuisine, but with ingredients that are quite a bit better than the average. Inside little has changed since a long time. The portions are ample (perhaps a bit too ample...), The wine advice excellent and the atmosphere... More
