This place gets mixed reviews -- and I can see why. It really is "as advertised" -- a Fondue restaurant where you get no choices, drink wine from baby bottles, and are squeezed into a cafe that should fit 20, but seats 40! BUT** If you accept all of that as part of the experience, and the fact that you... More

They offer just two differents Menus, both based on the tipical Fondue, Bourguignonne and Savoyarde. But, trust me, worth all the time and money ( 22 Euros each) you're going to spend in there. Definitely unmissable in the borough of the wonderfull Montmartre.

If you're looking for a place with life-changing French food, this isn't it. However, if you're looking for a fun time with a group of friends or family, make sure to stop by for dinner! The all-inclusive price includes a charcuterie board, unlimited bread, steak, potatoes, warm, bubbly fondue-style cheese and a baby bottle of wine! The food is good... More

We must congratulate with those guys since they actually have had a great business ideas: 22 euro just for pieces of chopped meats, a fire fondu, mayonese and bad cheap wine in biberons, lot of people crowded in small tables! You actually pay more for the funny experience, because considering the food & wine no reason at all!!

The ambiance is ok, the food is just ok. The bread is pretty hard, definitely not a fresh baguette! Also the waiters are pretty rude! I was with my girlfriend who asked to change plates because the waiter spilled some liquid on it and he gave this outrageous comment: do you want me to change your panties as well? -... More

My friend and I were recommended this place as we both love cheese and wine and it's a bit quirky so we came along. We were greeted by the manager (a very funny guy) and even though the restaurant was pretty quiet we were seated right next a couple, which involved my friend climbing over the table to get into... I've gone to this restaurant every time I'm in Paris, and I have always had great service and food. Stepping over the table and signing the wall is all part of the charm of the tiny restaurant. Plus the wine baby bottles are hilarious, yet extremely practical with such a small space. I recommend getting there at least half an... More

I was there with my girlfriend and we had fondue and some wine. The meal was abundant and the wine was served in glass biberons, really funny! The atmosphere is funny too, although the service is not so nice. The prices are quite high for the quality of the food that we had.

With so many great restaurants in the area there is no need to waste money on bad food. My children love fondu so it was an easy decision to go and I really didn't think fondue could be bad thus no need to check for a review. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! To begin the fondue was not good. Goupy cheese... More

LE REFUGE DES FONDUS... worst fondue in Paris..the cheese has become lumpy at the bottom and there was this liquid (disgusting) floating on top The two had separated... it was the most terrible experience of cheese u can ever have in Paris.. I DO NOT recommend anyone to even try it out.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
