La Muraille de Jade is a lovely looking restaurant serving excellent Chinese food. The service is exceptionally caring, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

While on a three day stopover in Paris after completing a Vantage river cruise from Bonn to Constanta on the Black Sea my wife and I craved some Chinese Food. Just down the street from our hotel we found a Chinese restaurant. Small though the restaurant was the food was superb. Exactly what we wanted though the food was called... More

With all the great real French food available we always have a meal at Jade usually with our Parisian friends. A menu mixed of various Asian cuisines there is something for everyone.

Pho the price (see what I did there?) I'd expect something a lot better. £14/€21 for a broth is expensive even by capital city standards. I wouldn't come back simply because I'm certain you can get better for a lot less in a part of town with 300+ Vietnamese restaurants. If you don't know Vietnamese food and have money to... More

21 € for a Pho soup in our restaurant ? It's a joke ?? where did you eat & pay that soup for 21 € ? certainly not in our restaurant. We cannot let this "false" information made known to trip advisor consumers. Our family is helding this restaurant for 40 years, we are proud to be one of THE... More

If you crave for a Vietnamese Pho or a Bo Bun and don't want to travel to China Town, or simply tired of steak frittes, La Muraille will do. On lunch time, the restaurant is filled with local workers or elderly frequenting the place for so many years, lunching on an affordable set menu. The dinner is "a la carte"... More

Having been a lover of Paris and traditional French food for so many years I was surprised when I was forced to admit that during a visit to Paris recently I enjoyed the food at La Muraille de Jade more than in any other place we went to that week, and that includes some of St Germaine's most famous restaurants.... The Rive Gauche east of Boulevard St Michel has become very trendy of late. Lots of people. Lots of fun. We stopped in La Muraille for a Pho, a Vietnamese soup that can serve as a meal. The soup was excellent and the Manager exceedingly friendly. The waiter just went through the motions, however. We saw other dishes that looked... More

For a welcome change for the French cuisine, this restaurant was so good, we went there twice. Top quality ingredients, coupled with delicate sauces made this the top Vietnamese restaurant we have ever visited - and we have visited a lot. The owner, Henry, is personable, welcoming and a great host. Great food at reasonable prices with excellent service including... More

I went to have dinner at the Muraille de Jade with my friends, one of them is a vegetarian. I read about the friendlyness of the host before going there and I have to say that he wasn't friendly at all. When taking the order he got so annoyed by my friend who was asking if she could also have... More

Dear new Customer, Our home made Pho Soup is cooked WITHOUT ANY ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR ADDED... but with only natural spices, vegetable & MARROW BONES what takes a "very long time" cooking (many cheap restaurants use artificial flavors instead of marrow bones for that reason). So our tasty Pho is full of natural vitamins & it's good for the health. The... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
