Wife and i had dinner there 3 years ago as our apartment was jsut a few blocks away... We ordered the same then and did not disappoint... Wife had escargot and I had the entrecot with onions, absolutely delicious and red in the middle... Half liter of house red wine only 7 Euro... We did notice that prices on other... More

Place for you if you are really hungry and the food does not matter. Tasteless, but service is good though. Glad to only be here for lunch. However, cheap both for wine and food.

We discovered what locals have well known - Bistro Beaubourg offers very good food at decent prices. Around the corner from the approach to the Pompidou, BB may be the quintessential French bistro that visitors long to find. We sat outside on a lovely September day and people-watched while waiting for my duck breast and my wife's turkey breast. A... More

4 adults, 3 kids and they made room for us with no fuss or problem. The food was delicious; tripe soup was amazingly rich, smoked duck like was fantastic. Great food and great service made for perfect experience for myself and my family.

Stumbled on this small bistro as we looked for a quick lunch before heading to the Picasso Museum. Both food and service were surprisingly good and excellent value for money. Starters were green salads with a beautiful dressing and a cote de boeuf for two with frites. The steak, which was a T bone, was beautifully cooked and the frites... More

Anywhere filled with locals is usually a good sign especially in a touristy area. This Bistro on a Saturday lunchtime was just that. Busy, bustling and full of energy. Diverse menu with several daily specials modest prices and an OK wine list. Indoor and outdoor dining but the enclosed outdoor section is filled with smokers so very unpleasant. We had... More

I ordered an escalope of Turkey with fries. I thought the escalope was over cooked and tough. The fries unexceptional. Served on a small white round plate with no vegetables. It reminded me a bit of an English child's menu from a pub chain. Service wasn't very friendly. I have to say, given the choice in Paris, a bit disappointed.... More

I had the cote de boeuf, it was delicious. If you want to go for a cheaper option, you can have the chicken and rice for less than 7euro!! Well cook and really tasty. I would go there again if I have the opportunity. Staff is really nice and welcoming

This bistro was really popular among the local people. It was difficult to get table for two without reservation. And the food told why it is so popular, dishes were big ones and the food was good. I can recommend this place for hungry traveler who is not looking the finest dinner :)

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
