We really appreciate Chaumette for the warm and cosy atmosphere and the wonderful food. This is French traditional food with a twist of modernity. Special mention for the unmissable chocolate soufflé.

Owner also the server. Quaint little restaurant with typical French decor and ambience. Went for lunch... A little quiet, which was great for us. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was delicately prepared and tastes excellent. Price, reasonable and value for €... Highly recommended...

Had 8 pm rez and arrived at 8:20 to restaurant half full with Parisiennes. Tried the special pot au feu. Fairly priced wine list. Busy service staff compliment friendly chefs. A bit out of the way, but perfect for Hotel Square guests.

Description
The Chaumette is a traditional French bistro near the New York Avenue in the 16th district of Paris. Photos of old bistros as well as modern art and antique style mirrors adorn the walls give the Chaumette a real atmosphere of an old fashioned Parisian bistro. The cuisine is flavoursome and copious, using fresh vegetables, meat and fish to create high quality traditional French dishes. Try a real French hotpot or some wild boar. The dessert menu is also varied and unavoidable tempting and the varied selection of wines may tempt you into trying something new.
