Food very good, traditional French bistro food, but fresh, full of flavour- the service was also very good, very friendly - highly recommend a meal after exploring the area.

Visited La Marine twice this last weekend after our first visit to the Canal St Martin area. Set lunch very reasonable at €18 for two courses, everyone very pleased with their choices. Packed with real Parisians both times which I guess is a good sign. Staff were charming and helpful. Will return...

La Marine is a very popular, authentic Parisian bistro. Traditional and trendy. Typical indoor with moldings, mirrors, ceramic tiles, zinc counter. I'm a regular of its small terrace overlooking Canal Saint Martin, coming from time to time for a glass of sancerre or brouilly, for one of my favorites, lamb chop with mashed potatoes or stew with lentils. Always quickly... More

This was my third visit. The last time was over a year ago. It was just as wonderful as I remembered. Having raved to my friend it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, my steak melted in the mouth and my friend said her lamb was the best she'd tasted. The staff are lovely and made us feel very welcome.... More

La Marine was recommended by the hotel concierge. It was delicious food with a bit of a twist on traditional French plats. The duck was tender and filling. The creme brûlée was delicate and worth getting despite being full from the main meal.

The first evening I had the steak with potatoes gratin, which was fantastic. The steak was perfectly cook, the potatoes had great... More

We enjoyed a tasty Sunday lunch in this busy bistro. We opted for the lunch menu, which at €17 for two courses was excellent value. My dining companion and I started with a carpaccio of avocado and prawns and a leek and goat's cheese tart respectively, and then both had the roast chicken with potato puree. Everything was very tasty... More

It was crowded when we arrived on Saturday lunchtime. They found us a table and we enjoyed the great value €17 menu followed by a stroll along the canal in the sunshine

Walking down the Canal Saint Martin, this brasserie parisienne offers a nice situation looking over the canal as well as an amazing home made menu. The atmospher was very restful and the staff very nice and attentive. We ordered starters and entrees, everything was fresh and well prepared. We recommend highly this place for a nice lunch by the canal!
