This was honestly the highlight of my trip to Paris and one of the best meals I've ever had! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, very helpful when we asked for recommendations. Delicious wine to accompany an even more delicious meal. Could not recommend this place enough and I'm so glad we discovered this place, and got a lovely... More

We stumbled across this little place on our first morning in Paris and had coffee and croissant - which was lovely and the staff delightful. On checking out the dinner menu we booked a table for that evening. After a mushroom soup with truffle oil starter, the duck and the cod were both spectacular, topped off with a delicious creme... Went with Parisian friends who recommended it as one of their regular spots. Great building, old with character and history. It was busy and had good ambience. The food was good, typically French but small portions. I thought the service could be better, waiters were distracted and were slow to respond to simple requests. In fairness it was busy and... Visited this gem of a restaurant which was absolutely delightful. The food was delicious and the staff very welcoming. Situated within a short walk of Notre Dame . Thoroughly recommend this . It was the perfect end to our day.

A gem in a touristy area; not cheap but what do you expect so close to Notre Dame? Book ahead for peak times (via website) and don't get frustrated if your table isn't quite ready for you - it's this busy with locals because it's good. It's a mid-range restaurant and not Haute Cuisine - this is the best sort... More

We had a family meal here tonight and it was perfect. Simple French food, cooked perfectly, with very friendly service. Plenty of French people dining and drinking in the bar and a lovely warm ambience. Even the 1980/90s English alternative music sound track added to the the vibe. Well priced and unpretentious.

This was just a block or two from Notre Dame and the many touristy restaurants - worth heading down the side streets! We both had great meals -my husband had the duck breast and I had braised beef. Rustic charm and friendly staff. Recommend making a reservation as the dining area is quite small, although they fit us in without... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
