When we walked across the street to investigate this restaurant we weren't sure what it served as there was an illuminated sign stating American bar and restaurant and the restaurant name couldn't be easily seen behind the trees. However it proved to be a restaurant...More

This place is huge and has beautiful interior. It's worth a visit for the history. We sat outside as the weather was sublime and had good moules and charcroute. It was not special or extraordinary, just good. Professional service. A classic.

Yes the place has history. The decor is beautiful. All that doesn’t justify waiters with attitudes that make you feel like someone is doing you a favor serving you food and drink. The food is that of a wedding venue. Maybe a tiny bit better...More

After visiting this lovely restaurant over many years, I was brought up with a shock last evening! Given it was a Monday evening and has recently changed hands, but the owners need to buck their ideas up quickly. The food was at best average (my...More

Good food, fine service, terrific atmosphere. We had a great dinner. Calf liver for me and entrecote for her. Wine was reasonably priced. Fun evening.

The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the
landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that
goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas,
brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and
parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away
from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and
historical monuments and treasures. In between lie
adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small

A true Art Deco masterpiece, La Coupole is the most famous Parisian brasserie in the world. Today it is the quintessential symbol of Montparnasse's history, as well as a key component of the art of living and socialising in Paris, particularly in the 14th arrondissement.
