The meals proposed were really tasty (main meal and desert). Very welcoming place and people. To be experienced more than once !

This hole-in-the-wall was recommended by the staff at the hotel where we were staying, which is located very nearby. The restaurant is very small and there was one waiter and whoever was doing the cooking in the back, that's all. Except for the bulldog who kept watch on the sidewalk and the street, directly outside of the restaurant. He must... More

The area around Rue St Denis has really changed in the last few years. Lots of very chic and expensive restaurants which is great, but tonight we felt like something a bit more relaxed. So after an hour walking around Rue Montorgueil and Les Halles we ended up at the restaurant right next to our hotel. We had an amazing... More

Book ahead, this is a small place (there's space for around twelve diners). fun decor and music, and relaxed service. I felt like I was eating in a friends house, but a friend who can cook very well and who won't expect you to help with the washing up (unless you try and pay by card! ) good, honest food.... More

Nice atmosphère, but don't call it a burger if you're serving 2 small slices of dried meat with salad and a bun and you're making me pay 12.5 euros!!! And making us wait 25 minutes!! Shame to you. You can't be really happy with yourself! Unfortunately I was so disappointed that there will not be any other chances to verify... More

My husband and I enjoyed an evening here outside on the street keeping company with the eclectic mash of euro-punk locals passing by and a very welcoming bull terrier. We were staying in an apartment nearby and grew extremely tired of other locales in the area serving the same tourist-centric menu...ug. One more mustard vinaigrette would make me want to... More

This restaurant is quite small! But the decoration is very good! The team was very friendly! For the price, the food was really good and quantities were perfect! The only thing: you can't pay by card so just plan to have cash (don't worry there is an ATM 50 meters away)!

I first went to this restaurant in 2000 with my French professor, and I've been back on every subsequent trip to Paris. The menu has changed over the years, and the prices have gone up, but the ambiance is still eclectic and funky. The food is more expensive than it was back then (not just in real terms but in... Always go with the recommendations of the server. Had the most amazing salad with prosciutto and warm goat cheese. I had the plat du jour (meatball type thing very good) and an apple tarte with nutella. The formule is a great way to have a three course dinner for under 20 euro. Beers are cheap too!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
