First: we really enjoyed our evening on the terrasse of the small restaurant with a nice glas of regional vegan red wine and it was a great experience overall with a very friendly waiter (although he was a bit stressed due to the large number of customers waiting) But: the food was delicious, yet have I had better vegan food... High price average and boring vegan food. The Rolled Lupine Bean Roast was very fastly served and made the impression it was warmed up. The Creme Brûlee was not tasty at all. Staff is unfriendly. From a high prize vegan restaurant in the center of Paris I expect a lot more than what I experienced.

Excellent variety of dishes, beautifully plated. No feelings of deprivation possible here. Quaint interior. Professional service. (note: the website says they open at noon, but they didnt actually open till around 12:20. a number of customers that were waiting gave up and went elsewhere. advice: dont bother arriving till 12:30)

You defiantly must book in advance if you want to eat tasty food in this tiny ( a bit too tiny for my taste..because you really don't have space to eat relaxed) restaurant.

There seems to be a growing trend in Paris of quality Vegan/Vegetarian restaurants and Le Potager du Marais is one of the best. My wife and I read great things before our most recent trip and they certainly delivered. A reservation is a must as the seats are limited but with the quality of the food and the great service... My wife and I called for reservations day of. They had reservations available at 7:00, which, as an American, was perfect (although I did appreciate that the person wanted to make sure it wasn't too early). As other reviews mentioned, the environment is charming but tight- expect to be seated very close to other people. The staff was very friendly.... More

A small intimate restaurant bursting with character. The waiter was the most hospitable waiter I have ever been served by. We came at 8 to a fully booked restaurant, so we booked in a table and came back at 9:30, upon re-arrival the waiter immediately made an effort, noticed us and addressed my girlfriend with "Bea! Your table awaits you"... More

Yes, try it, it's good. The other reviewers suggested the lasagna and they are right it's good. I had the seitan bourguignon, also good. You have to reserve in advance. Service is good, charming tiny space. Bon appétit!

We went there for dinner after an extenuating day and it was well worth the extra walking!! I loved the fact that they served typical French food but "veganised", I guess there are not so many places that do that. I particularly enjoyed the onion soup and the crème brulée, but also the lupine roulade was excellent. We had some... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
