Good if you're a foodie. Creative presentation and flavor-mixing. Nice wine list. Definitely not a budget restaurant.

gorgeous starters and their crowd-pleaser, mashed potato mixed ith cheese so they put on a fun show serving it; fish cooked great - limited menu which I bet changes nightly - there was a large table of businessmen nearby eating beef pies of some kind, and they looked wonderful; my husband had scrumptious lamb with a chestnut sauce of some... Me and my pals were visiting the city because of the Basketball games for European championship. As I guessed that the gamefood would sort reach its limits, I asked for recommendations from a local friend. He recommended the Lozere for the purpose. Good call, we got what we ordered. Also the restaurants specialty, aioli was presented as a must. Try... More

This was recommended by friends who live in Montellier and I ate there twice while teaching there for the past three weeks. The setting is an inner courtyard so common in Montpellier. The space is small, but the tables are not overcrowded and it feels airy and is comfortable in the late evening heat of the summer. On weekends and... More

Lovely setting, but cuisine no more than a partially successful attempt at gourmet cooking. At the prices they charge, I would not visit again or recommend it to anyone.

On a Monday night most formal dining experiences are closed, so after our first few choices were crossed off we got a table at Cellier & Morel. We got past the 'Look up-and-down' and "I'm sorry we're fully booked" - which they weren't, before someone decided we weren't a pair of scallwags and gave us a table. Beautiful location in... More

I visited on a Saturday night (I was fortunate to get a booking) and the restaurant was full. We were greeted courteously, seated promptly and attended to in a timely fashion. The menu contained sufficient choices for all in our party. The wine list was very extensive and the sommelier was knowledgeable about the different vintages of our red wine... More

The French think that they are the gastronomic capital of the world. But they are not the most accommodating. Vegetarians can think again. So, although 4 our our group of 5 are not vegetarian we have one friend who is and we booked this restaurant in advance warning them of the situation. On the whole they produced some fabulous vege... We visited this restaurant as it was near our hotel and recommended by the hotel owner. The cuisine was very refined, inventive and exquisitely presented. I was very impressed by some of the special touches, such as a rustic potato purée and garlic accompanying the main dish. The dessert was perfection, a gorgeous creation of genoise with pistachio mousse and... More
