A friend of ours in Paris recommended le Pommier, and we were delighted that he did. Although our server was a bit surly, the food was delicious. I had a baked chicken dish with a creamy mushroom sauce that was so rich there was no...More

We were on our way back to Paris after being at Mt Sain Michel. We pulled off the highway in Bayeux and randomly chose this restaurant. We were seated immediately, but noticed that the service was quite slow. It may just be our northeastern impatience...More

The seafood here is wonderful! For starters I tried The seefood platter with crab, shrimps, and moluscules that I had never eaten but were great! As a digestif try an aged calvados! Excelent!

Dined outside. Lovely evening, food first class, attentive service and excellent house wine. Can recommend. Duck foie gras pate, beef carpaccio, local slow cooked lamb, and amazing big and chocolate-ty profiteroles.

This is a lovely restaurant in the shadow of the cathedral. If the weather is good, I recommend a table outside, overlooking the cobbled street (although we moved due to smokers next to us - one of the hazards of outdoor seating in Europe.) We...More

Standard menu for Normandy, standard good food and standard slow service. And just as standard unwillingness to clear the table of dirty plates . Nothing special

After riding bikes from Bayeux to Omaha Beach and back, my husband and I were starving and went in search of a restaurant in the charming village of Bayeux. We sat outside later in the evening and took in the view of the Bayeux Cathedral...More

Description
The owners Isabelle and Thierry Lhuillery are strongly attached to the region, which displays lot's of famous specialities. Their cooking is both original and typical. The owners know pretty well the local producers, with whom they have been working for many years. When the ingredients are cooked, it is always in the respect of their original flavour, only spices and fresh herbs are added in order to make the best come out of them. Enjoy eating fresh sea food straight from the coast; try our daily raw marinated fish course, or a slice of duck foie gras flavoured with apple fragrances. Don't miss our Normandy beef and duck breast, or our delicate fish dressed with a light cream dressing. Do not also go by, without tasting our local cheeses such as : Camembert, Pont L’Eveque, Livarot or Neufchatel. And finally to put a pleasant end to this perfect meal try a chaudfroid apple dessert... It will be our pleasure to help you choosing in our wine and cider list the most appropriate beverage.
