With a table near the kitchen - we were privy to a real treat. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a large wall of glass allowing diners to watch how a well oiled machine runs. Several sous-chefs work their stations with an apparent relaxed diligence. This restaurant was professional and detail oriented. From the amuse-bouche through all... More

During our weekend in Caen we wanted to experience some indulgence. The restaurant with a lobster menu caught our eye. Situated at the same street as our hotel Mercure (also recommanded), off we went. The staff are most friendly, the interior contemporary, warm and welcoming. Our lobster menu consisted of 2 starters, 1 main and two desserts. Each part of... More

We were recommended this restaurant and it was well worth a visit; the fixed menus were exceptional and the fish was particulalry good. However, the place was under-staffed and the staff were rushed off their feet to the extent we had to wait 10 minutes just to pay! The puddings were a huge disappointment; after nuanced and delicated savoury courses,... More

It was not the first time, I went to thus restaurant, but the first for a romantic diner. The Chef went beyond our imagination, since we took one of their mystery meal. It was fine, delicate, daring, tasty, generous.... Well you just want more. The choice of wine is also excellent! Last but not least the service was very good.... More

We had their fixed price lunch menu which was great value for such interesting, delicious and well cooked and presented food. Next time we're back around Caen we'd love to go again and try the full tasting menu - particularly the lobster based one. Stephane Carbone was on hand to speak to guests and unlike some others on Trips Advisor... More

Food was fine, starter of crab was excellent, and turbot and the chocolate dessert were fine. Prices are a bit on the high side, and the first twi wines I asked for for from the small wine list were sold out. Service is appaling, three young girls and two young boys, who don't have a clue about what to do.... More

We were looking for an end of holiday treat before getting the night ferry home. Michelin starred restaurants are not numerous in Caen. This place should not have a star. The atmosphere is stale. The décor, like the cooking, is a disjointed attempt at difference which does not work on any level. We were offered an aperitif and they had... More

Went there for lunch. Service was good and friendly. The food was inventive and interesting. It is a bit on the pricey side, but about normal for this class of restaurant. If you are on a budget, go at lunch time to get their lunch menu, around 20-40 Euros per person then.

This restaurant has earned one Michelin star. The food is imaginative and good. The service was unequal. The price for the food was a bit overpriced. If you are seeking fine dining in a town that stands above the brasseries this is the one for you.
