We looked around the historic center of Rouen for a restaurant as we had no recommendations. Most of them we saw looked as though they catered to tourists and just did not look interesting. We saw this little restaurant in the Piazza in front of St Maclou Chuch and took a chance. We had a lovely 3 course meal for... More

Avoiding the real tourist traps with tourist fare down at Vieux Marche, we stumbled on Le Parvis and sat outside, overlooking L'Eglise Saint-Maclou. The trout was great, the bouillabaisse was awesome and the service was relaxed and friendly and they even put up with my appalling French. The highlight, though, was Les Pommes desert. Caramelised apple with Calvados, whipped cream... More

We ate here a week ago and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The outdoor setting of the church (St Maclou) in the square was fabulous and the meal was very tasty. Our waiter was very kind and humorous and had great recommendations.

A restaurant in a small square in front of the church of St Maclou, with a good atmosphere and an attractive outdoor dining area from which to people watch. An attractive, rather poetic, menu with two courses for €25.70 or three for €29.80. A fruit de mer vol au vent with langoustines and crayfish in a white wine sauce and... More

We sat outside for dinner and had a beautiful setting, church and courtyard. Waiter was very kind, professional even with our lack of French language skills. Food was delicious, everyone enjoyed their meal. My picky 7 year old gobbled up the steak. Views from our table.

We had our first meal of our trip to France at Le Parvis. We sat inside on a rainy evening with great views of St Maclou. Menu is all in French but a couple at a nearby table helped to translate for us. We shared the cheese/egg appetizer and then had the pork special and bouillabaisse. All of the food... More

In the right heart of the medieval Old Rouen, a typical and fine french "Auberge". Authentic, fresh fish and meat with vegetables simply prepared (but delicious) and served with a lot of humour (read all the menu) and happiness. Wines are not common but very tasty. Very good value for money.

This is something that's trying to hard to break into the upper scale of restaurants. The quality is good, but the food combinations were odd. The only special thing that could be said about the food was that they had some vegetarian offerings for main courses - this is relatively unusual in France. Value was poor - prices were too... Cozy atmosphere and delicious, fresh food. The service was friendly and smooth. The vegetable, seafood and cheese dishes were particularly memorable for us!
