Sometime it is just nice to get into a restaurant that is very average in the decor, but still in a nice environment, and all the work is put into the food quality. The menu and wine selections are easy to overview, it based on less is more, and less is higher quality. A great place to dine, highly recommended.

This place punches above its price, Euro 19.50 and 28.00 menu. We had the 19.50 and we're certainly not disappointed, most of the rest of the restaurant did also. One small niggle the 0.5 litre pitchers are expensive, so if on a budget check the price before ordering. Still excellent value for money.

Lovely little restaurant very near the main train station of Le Mans. Full of locals enjoying themselves. Very understanding of my basic French. Lots of interesting choices on the menu Highly recommend the Montgolfiere de Poisson and the duck was perfect. Gourmet coffee was a treat and the citrus lemon sorbet came with a generous amount of vodka too. Superb.

Different from your average run of the mill French restaurant, with a menu a little more adventerous than is usally available at this price. Nice simple decor, really good front of house and food well cooked and presented. Drinks (3.80 for a coke) a little pricey.

We were directed to the Bellifontain by the receptionist at our hotel, which was just around the corner opposite the station. We were made very welcome although the restaurant was quite full, the interior was simple but charming. There appear to be only two 'front of house' staff, both of whom were very friendly and helpful in spite of our... More

This restaurant close to the Central Station is a surprise. Interior is nice but simple, and they offer two different 3 courses menus of € 19 and € 27. Not really a place where you expect something special.... So different here, absolutely quality food, simply delicious. On top of that very friendly service. This is the best price/quality level I... The TA reviews have it right. This is a fantastic restaurant, our best meal in 7 nights in France. We enjoyed the 3 course menu of starter, plat and dessert. I had a salad with roasted cheese, white fish seasoned with ginger, and an apple/rhubarb dessert. All fantastic. The service was great and the woman who seated us directed us... More

There is a 19€ or a 27€ menu to choice from presentation and taste was excellent very nice lady front of house, recommended by the hotel charleston where we were staying which is situated just around... Menu was in both French and English. Fantastic food and not over priced. You are better booking as very popular. Order the coffee as your dessert, you get 5-6 tasters of cakes, delicious. We went twice and would have gone again, but they were closed on Sunday. Service excellent, really lovely people

Around the corner from our hotel this appeared to be a great place for dinner. Friendly hostess, very good dishes and an extremely reasonable price.
