Stopped here for a last bite before flying out of Nantes. The restaurant is very elegant yet approachable. Service was attentive and kind. Our food was delicious, a fun break from French flavors. The outdoor court gives it a light, vacation-like feel, yet it’s not...at all touristy.More

We arrived at this conveniently located restaurant - in a pedestrain area - without any reservation. After showing the sanitary pass we were seated quickly inside. We ordered half a bottle of their house wine Anjou Rouge with their own label on it- very good....A Pad Thai (vegetarian) and one chicked Bangkok also were ordered at the same time plus to try, a glass of Indian Red wine - not bad but different than any red wine I tasted before. Also to accompany the chicket a bowl of basmati rice was ordered. The waitress, French was knowledgeabe and friendly. We ordered one dessert from a waiter who handed us the dessert menu without telling us that one dessert was no longer available. When the first waitress came back and asked us about the dessert order, my friend orderd just that dessert that no longer was available. He was very disappointed of course but he did order a new one. This one came but it was too sugary. Too bad! It is imperative to inform you wait staff which dishes are no longer available when you hand out the menus! The bill came to almost 60 euros for 2.More

I discovered that restaurant, conveniently located in the heart of the city, when I started studying in Angers in 2013. Since then, I keep coming back to this place, year after year: The dishes are a nice fusion of two culinary cultures, the service has...been always, so far, on par to the quality of the cooking. The best part, will always be the sauce that could make you eat tons of rices, and the soam papdi~ If I need to eat lunch or dinner, alone, with friends, by default I will book it here, I know I won't be disappointed.More

For France this place is outstanding. Brits, used to UK standards will not be hugely impressed however. Service is very friendly and efficient, while the ambience is charming. The choice is not huge, but what we had was very tasty and well presented. Reasonable prices...too. Parking in Angers can be tricky.More

Having had a terrible meal the evening before in Angers, we weren`t expecting a great deal - but how wrong we were. This restaurant is a real gem. It`s beautifully decorated, service is prompt & very friendly and the food is outstanding. My companion claims...not to like Indian food, but really loved this place. All the food was freshly cooked and really well-spiced without being over-hot. The special - king prawn masala- was really outstanding. If you find yourself in Angers. treat yourself to dinner here - it`s wonderful, and fantastic value!More

Came here a few weeks ago. Inside of restaurant is lovely, comfortable and very different. service is great. All waiting staff very friendly, attentive without being over the top and were happy to explain a sweet course my daughter had when she asked about it's...origin despite them being very busy.Although not a big menu food was tasty and good, especially the starters. We all had choices from the set menu. I would say it is not the cheapest restaurant I have been to, but having said that we did have a few drinks which always pushes the price up and there was four of us. But given the atmosphere and wonderful surroundings it was worth it. We all came out feeling full. Would recommend being reserving in the terrace area. Really nice even when the roof has to be closed due to bad weather.More

We expected decent Thai food but the kitchen was more fusion. Th place is popular and was full on a Wed evening. We were lucky to get a table f 5 ppl. The restaurant itself is nicely furnished. The Tom khan soup as a starter...was authentic and tasty. Pad Thai with prawns looked ok but they topped it wi5 a fried egg. It was not very tasty. Also they did not provide chilies to make it spicy. After all 4 out of Party of 5 suffered severe stomach problems later that night. Never again.More

Monday in French retail is a day of closure and this applies to restaurants too. Even those that do open generally do so from 7pm onwards in Angers. We found ourselves wandering around looking for somewhere out of the tourist square and without photos of...the food on display (a little rule I dine by..). L'Inde has two parts, the bar and what appears to be a roofed courtyard next door. The latter is well heated so very comfortable to dine in. We were welcomed in at 7pm despite a look of concern that we hadn't got a reservation and I can understand that as the place rapidly filled up behind us. Our waiter easily identified that our French was rubbish and advised his English was to a similar standard, so asked us to wait for another waiter who overcame the language barrier. This transpired to be very wise, as although pointing to the item we wanted would have obtained a meal, the advice we were given proved invaluable. The menu is a fusion of Indian and Thai and it was explained that the dishes have been tailored over time to be quite mild as the French palette does not appreciate a curry that blows your head off. With our new waiters advice we could tailor our choices to be more in line with what we'd expect. Delivered rapidly, they all proved delicious. The portions are not massive (though not inadequate) so there is room for an entree or sweet. When popping a tip in the tray at the bar the maitre'd rang a bell and all the waiters stopped and thanked me, a nice touch and also a clever ruse to hint to other diners that a tip is appreciated. Tip: Waiter service but you pay at the bar.More

We're a family of 5 including 3 teenagers and had decided to stopover in Angers. This lovely restaurant squeezed us in after it had taken an hour for everyone to agree on what we would eat!! Thank goodness they could. This place is great -...run by a husband and wife the team - the ambiance, food (a fusion of Indian / Thai) and service is excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves so if you want to avoid a "Phew!" I suggest you book.More

Couldn’t get into the restaurant we wanted that night so ended up having Thai/Indian fusion. Sat in the covered out door section which they managed to keep warm despite it being minus 3 outside. If we had booked we would have been seated inside where...it was lovely and toasty. The starters could have been a lot more flavoursome like normal Thai food rather than slightly bland. We were told that with the spring roll it should be rolled up in a little gem lettuce leaf with a piece of fresh mint? What? The main courses on the other hand were good. The lamb massaman curry fell off the bone (more sauce needed) while the fish in fragrant curry sauce was beautifully cooked. PadThai was also very good. All in all tasty but would skip the starters as nothing amazing.More
