The welcome here was lovely, both by the front-of-house and the chef, and the food was very nice, but the chef is just trying too hard so the flavours on the dishes are just a little too intense and a little too overwhelming. The produce was excellent, and we felt very well looked after. All in all, a very pleasant... More

In the evenings there are two main “formules” here: either a 3 course menu for 43 Euros or a 7 course one for 49, which seems to argue irresistibly in favour of the latter, which is what we ordered. In practice the first of the 7 is an amuse-bouche (one of which comes unannounced on the 3 courser) and another... More

Very professional service, warm ambiance, delicious food, helpful Sommelier...we'll be back! We've been there four or five times in he past three years and the quality has been maintained. When you want an affordable "white tablecloth" experience, I would recommend this.

A terrific place for a quiet meal with ever attentive staff and excellent food. Menu is predominantly a three course menu with good selection for each course.

We loved the name of this restaurant as we spotted it on our walk around town. When we checked on trip advisor we were impressed with comments and we were not disappointed. Beautiful meal, great flavours and amazing combination of foods ,textures and colours. Also very friendly and helpful staff.

Good service. Inventive cuisine and very well balanced flavours. Tuna sashimi with ginger and truffles? - YES it works! Sweetbreads were fantastic, as was cheese plate which is to be avoided in most other restaurants, and a superb desert.

Our downfall came with the 3 bottle of wine suggested by the very... More

How does he do it? 32€ lunch for 3 courses plus a good glass if wine.Cubism de Foie Gras; Tournedos Rossini and a Framboisier. All immaculately presented and top quality ingredients. Undoubtedly one of the best meals of my holiday.

Maybe we chose the wrong things. Maybe we went on a bad night. The slow cooked egg was great - but beyond this it was pretty disastrous. It was probably the lowest point in this year's dining experiences.

The dining is downstairs in what feels like a cleverly lit old wine celler hence the name 'caves'. Subtle elegance and cool from the outside temperature. This is not a big restaurant and not wheelchair friendly but this is 17th Century Aix and few establishments here are. This does not detract from the food. Whilst not having an extensive menu,...
