How does he do it? 32€ lunch for 3 courses plus a good glass if wine.Cubism de Foie Gras; Tournedos Rossini and a Framboisier. All immaculately presented and top quality ingredients. Undoubtedly one of the best meals of my holiday.

Maybe we chose the wrong things. Maybe we went on a bad night. The slow cooked egg was great - but beyond this it was pretty disastrous. It was probably the lowest point in this year's dining experiences.

The dining is downstairs in what feels like a cleverly lit old wine celler hence the name 'caves'. Subtle elegance and cool from the outside temperature. This is not a big restaurant and not wheelchair friendly but this is 17th Century Aix and few establishments...More

Elegant but casual setting for lunch and, perhaps dressier in the evening. An inventive and talented chef that succeeds on his own terms, great products, beautiful and historical settings and impeccable service. The ratio price/quality is unique in the neighborhood.

we were there over 30 years ago and remember being blown away - of course new ownership, but still the same lovely room in the cave with rock walls, which you either find cool or claustrophobic. We liked it. Food was striving for creativity and...More

Refined cuisine in an unusual setting. The best is to ask a table underground in "la cave". Unique experience!!

My wife and I ate here for my 70th birthday lunch. We ate upstairs next to the kitchen door which meant that we had a good conversation with the Chef/Patron. The downstairs sounded a bit noisy. The food was excellent, two amuses bouches - one,...More
