We booked last minute for our brief stop in Avignon and were pleased to find a table available. The restaurant is very conveniently located in the centre of the old town and has a welcoming ambience. We took the four course surprise menu at less...than 50 Euros and were very pleased with it. I'll not spoil the surprise, but the amuse bouche was a great combination of flavours. Later courses included poached egg, foie gras, veal and a chocolate dessert, though of course the other ingredients, flavours and techniques elevate and complement these main elements. We were recommended a good and reasonable local wine to accompany our meal and finished with coffee and liqueurs. Excellent service, inventive food combinations and pleasant surroundings, we'll certainly be back whenever we return to Avignon.More

I had lunch booked easily via the app LaFourchette. Pauline is nice and made me feel at ease as a solo diner. I tried the surprise 3 course menu. Amuse-bouche and the entrée were tasty and fresh. Dessert was nice too. Overall good price and...good experience. I like the ambient and the place. Terrace sitting is nested in a small yard so it feels secluded.More

We looked for a special restaurant and found one. The prices are good and the food is amazing. Red wine was also very tasty, loved the way the gast served us (with lots of explanations).

Set amongst the city walls, this small but delightful restaurant was a great find. Sitting outside in the passage way to the entrance of the restaurant was fine, and by the time we left it was full with the hostess having to turn people away...who had not booked. The food is bought fresh on the day & the menu reflected this. A wonderful evening, and we will be backMore

What an amazing meal! We adopted for 6 course and each was totally sublime! We visited this restaurant after seeing it on trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Excellent cooking, good service, great paired wines. A must visit in Avignon!

Wonderful and inventive dinner exceeded all expectations. We speak no French, but Pauline was inviting and helpful. Gorgeous surroundings complimented the equally stunning meal. We elected to have the chef's "surprise" tasting menu and it was exceptional. Wine pairings were spot on. Cost was very...reasonable. We rarely review, but couldn't pass providing this one. A great meal in a great spot with terrific service. Mathieu and Pauline obviously are devoted to their restaurant and deserve their high ranking.More

With the stellar impression from our visit in mind, we revisited this restaurant. The food is very, very delightful. Wonderfully prepared with lot's of attention. Service is very friendly and attentive. One thing we noticed in both visits, is that service is at a very...leisurely pace. This time it took us 2,5 hours to get through a 4 course meal. No, issue, provided you have the time to enjoy the setting and food. Prices are quite moderate, given the quality of service and food served.More

I was looking forward to eating here and had saved it as my last meal in Avignon. The space itself is quite warm and welcoming as were the staff, as a solo diner, I was placed in the middle of the restaurant with a good...view of the front of the restaurant. I chose the four-course option and left it to chef to "surprise" me with each course. First up a beautifully silky smooth carrot soup with a delightful textural garnish. This was a beautiful dish to look at and was skillfully executed. There was nothing wrong with this dish. For this diner, however, it was bland and could have benefited from some seasoning. Next came a just poached egg in parsnip puree. Again, skillfully executed and again, bland to this dinner. Next, the roast chicken with seasonal vegetables; delicious, All was going well, until I noticed that parts of the chicken were not cooked properly. I mentioned this to the waiter who took the dish away and returned it without the offending raw parts! Most disappointingly, the breast portion that was perfectly cooked and delicious had disappeared completely! A brief and seemingly sincere apology was given, but no further service recovery was offered. I particularly pointed out that the breast portion was fine, yet is disappeared from my plate, no explanation was given as to why. Finally, the cheese course, nothing special here. Overall, I did not feel that I received value for money from this experience. I had read other diners reviews and these were instrumental in my choice of restaurant. in the result, the undercooked chicken was in keeping with the whole experience. Based on my experience, disappointing.More
