Antonia and Russell are from Brighton, England. He is the chef and she manages the front alone (at least on the eveing we were there). Her service was gracious and efficient; she seemed to be everywhere just at the right moment. We were told by...More

I booked after seeing the reviews and I am glad we did . Everything was good about the visit , food wine etc but the service was the best I have ever seen . Each table was treated like honoured guests or old friends, ....More

We loved our meal at Fou de Fafa! The main reason: Antonia, our server and wife of the chef, Russell. She delivered each course in a lovely and light -hearted manner and helped to choose a wine to go with our meal. The food was...More

Owner chef and maitre dit couple. Was a few years ago but the service was fantastic and the dishes were excellent. The road and the square nearby have been recently rennovated, which makes it more appealing than it used to be.

You do need to book, as I found out the previous night. It is small but also incredible. I did book and on arrival we were greeted by name. Started with a good aperitif followed by some of the best food ever. The waitress was...More

Lovely restaurant- we booked in advance due to high demand and trip advisor ratings - well worth the effort. Nice atmosphere, smart but uncluttered and relaxing. It's all indoors but spacious and nicely air con. Food choices good, incl veg options. Beautifully presented and delicious....More

Hearty, delicious and interesting food that wasn't so gourmet as to become inedible! We ate at many Michelin-starred restaurants after this and did not like them as much as Fou de Fafa. Highly recommend, prices are great too! Menu changes frequently so you could do...More

Don't miss dinner at Fou de Fafa. Our meal was the best dinner we had during two weeks in France. It's a beautiful, small and quiet dining room with lovely service and cooking by a friendly and knowledgeable husband-wife team. Reservations are essential. This is...More

As a solo traveller I have rarely felt so comfortable. Delicious food and a great choice of wine ..... wonderful ambiance and perfect English spoken. Perfectly cool on a hot day - hoping to revisit before I leave.

Fabulous food, wonderful, friendly service. The positive reviews are well deserved. The cheese to finish was particularly good.

Are you open for dinner on Sunday evenings in October?

Response from Emily K | Reviewed this property |
I am not the manager of the restaurant. But I recalled this restaurant is closed on Sunday. Suggest you email them to check and make a reservation
I meant ask you the other evening, when we had dinner with you (ours is the review from 22 September headed "Bravo!")... ... why 'Fou de Fafa', please? If you're able to settle this little mystery, thanks; but thanks again in any case for a really nice 'farewell to Avignon' meal.

no there is not but trust me the cooler dining is a welcome advantage. Also it's on a narrow street. The resto surroundings are very nice and very clean. They have a small area with a sofa to relax and chat near the back as... More
