It is very difficult to cook in this era where everyone is either a critic or pescatarian with a gluten intolerance. More and more chefs are forced into a corner where the customers tell the chef what they want and the chef tailors to their...demands and/or needs. While this is good for the customer it leaves the chefs all cooking more or less the same thing for the same audience. This is clearly not that chef and I am relieved. Technically this restaurant displays a degree of skill above average but what really refreshes me is the creativity in combination. Never have I had 'black curry' and if I was asked without exposure what it could possibly look like I would have certainly not suggested black pudding. The asparagus course I had was one of the best offerings I have personally consumed and in England I see it alot. While there where other high notes such as the asian influenced pork belly with udon noodles and leeks, the showstopper was the dessert. If you asked me yesterday how I felt about a dessert based around avocado I would have dismissed you as a flat earther. Then I tried it and while in theory I could see bananas and avocado going together I would never have imagined it to be such a STUNNING harmony brought together by a banana and ginger sorbet and banana tapioca. In summary the food was in one word, exciting. The service also meets the level of thefood as the staff was VERY knowledgeable and professional. I look forward to eating here again the next time I am in Marseille.More

Good attempt on serving French food with creativity. The use of fresh fruit and juices breeze freshness into the food. The use of chocolate sauce in a chicken dish makes the dish more complex.
