Le Cafe du Lezard is a must in St Remy de Provence! The place amazing. Really unique. The food is also very good (the burguer Route 66 is huge and delicious). The owner is a bit eccentric but it makes the whole evening even more interesting.

We went to this rather cute little French restaurant for dinner. We are quiet gentle people but were quite shocked at the owners unwelcoming attitude. We ordered a different meal each I had duck and my daughter tried a couple of pieces of mine, The next day I was violently ill with food poisoning and my daughter had a milder... More

I had the joy of lunching here on Sunday 12/1/16 and it was splendid! Only once previously had I dined here and that was for a memorable dinner..from the moment you step onto the metal mat at the front door and onto the glorious old floor tiles you know you are in for a treat.. I had the rabbit kidneys... More

Had dinner here again on two occasions and enjoyed them immensely. Just think this place is fantastic, it is different with locals eating late and a chef that can cook great food. The decor is so French bric and brac but so clean and authentic, it is surely a must visit for all foodies. Sure, the owner does appreciate his... More

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The food was really good and their was a good wine selection. The restaurant itself is decorated in an eclectic artsy manner and the tables are mostly filled with locals. We were warned by our hotel owner that the owner of this restaurant will not speak English but it turned out he... More

Most of the negative comments are written about the owner and I can understand why, but once you get beyond this, there is great food to be served and eaten. Most of the clientele are local French people who know and accept the owner, the restaurant opens and takes orders until late so a great place if you prefer to... More

We always thought it was a fairy tail, but we didn't find the great lizard, but a very arrogant ogre at the Le Cafe du Lezard. We have never been welcomed by such ignorance and arrogance before and we really hope with all our hearts that the owner reaps what he sows...what goes around comes around. It is not necessary to disrespect... I love their salads as well. The outdoor terrace is lively during summer evenings and perfect place to enjoy a bottle of Rosè .The restaurant's chef is imaginative and consistent ,they... More

It is an experience and delight to eat here, yes the owner gets a lot of mention in the reviews but it is the chef that cooks the great food and it is served to mostly local people. The menu is varried and not run of the mill tourist food, this is serious tastey French food at it's best. The... More
