Whilst being away with friends skiing in 1650 we headed to 'La Cabane' for a pre dinner drink. What a fabulous, quirky, cosy, welcoming place. I would thoroughly recommend it if you get a chance.

Essentially, this is a large wooden shed, located on the pavement off the main road in Moriand, pimped up inside with wooden benches, stools and tables for no more than 20 people. It even has chandeliers and is the most cosiest wine bar you'll ever go to! Serving cocktails, fizz and some good french wine along with platters of cheese... More

We visited this little bar in the high street , basically a wooden cabin but a lovely atmosphere for after ski or later on. Very warm very cosy. Not cheap but then nothing is here

The cabane is really a log shed which has been beautifully furnished - even has a chandelier. It is tiny and is located on the main street of 1650. Opposite is a tiny fresh Oyster bar which is also run by the same owner. We often ended up in here after a day's skiing - but the owner isn't too... More

This is a very pretty, very small rustic wooden cabin, with a bar, high tables and stools. Warm, cosy, intimate, full of charm. We just had drinks and watched the world go by. It's novel, it's fun and it's definitely worth a visit, then a return visit, then another.

A beautiful cosy wood hut. Step in to a London of fur seats, great wine, champagne, candelabras and welcoming host. Platters of meats and cheese. Cannot recommend enough

La Cabane intrigued my son and I each day of our ski trip recently. One night we gave in to curiosity and entered. What a fantastic place it was. My 14 year old son tried, and enjoyed, L'Escargot for the first time. The proprietor and his regular customers made the occasion special. So much so that an hour after we... More

We were working on our apartment in Courchevel 1650 (Moriond) for 2 days solid and took time off for a wonderful walk from 1650 up to 1850, tried to have lunch in the Chabichou Hotel in 1850 but they were closed for a wedding, so what luck to find a really lovely young couple serving brunch in the sunshine outside...
