We were told they were full when they saw we were not locals. Another couple got after us without a reservation and they got a table.

After a morning of walking this beautiful city we came upon this restaurant. It was busy and looked very charming so we went in. From the first moment we knew we chose well. The server was very friendly and helpful, this our first day in France we don't speak French she explained the whole menu! We did one pre fixe lunch... More

A traditional French restaurant with an most interesting menu, nothing goes to waste in this restaurant. The Frogs legs were an absolute highlight, plentiful and amazingly cooked, moist and full of flavour. A must visit if you want to experience true French cooking!

The restaurant is over 100 years old and offers an authentic dining experience in Lyon. The method of cooking was inspired by the servants who cooked for the Bourgeois, they used the entire animal and off cuts, making the best of what they could with what they had. You can eat things like Smoked Herring Fillets, Calfs Head Stew and... More

Recommend booking and serves in two sittings (certainly on Saturday, 1915 & 2115), lots of people disappointed as no room at the inn. Staff extremely helpful and a wonderful setting. A group of five and three went for a four corse fixed and others a la carte. The traditional Lyonaisse starter was excellent and served unusually in that large bowls... More

An authentic Lyon bouchon. Cuisine is standard bouchon fare, simple but fresh and perfectly prepared. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful. A very good value in typical Lyonaise cuisine. Go for it!

Brilliant service. A variety of traditional foods prepared perfectly. Small but good selection of local wines. Excellent atmosphere. Friendly and very helpful staff. Would definitely return here.

I was interested in this bouchon after visiting their Facebook page, one can tell that the chefs are passionate about their food, and meat in particular! We were greeted warmly upon arrival, good and attentive service, great selection of specials other than the regular menu, and the food was simple but very well cooked. The veal liver was cooked just... More

This is a true Bouchon Lyonnais. It was recommended to us by a friend who's family has been coming here for decades. And we could see why. The service was very welcoming, and the food is incredibly good and very authentically 'Lyonnais'. Very rich dishes naturally, and a wide selection of offal (if you're into that kind of thing). My...
