Excellent food and the Chef was incredible in describing the menu. A cosy traditional bouchon. I highly recommend it!

We ate here twice and both times were excellent. I had lamb both times and it was delicious. The starter was gnocchi and the second time was fish in a buckwheat pancake, both were good and super interesting. The chef explains each dish in detail before you order. Service was friendly, good and spoke English.

This tiny restaurant it's not easy to find and doesn't call your attention when you walk by. I actually went because someone recommended it to me. The food was absolutely delicious. The chef himself comes to the table to explain the menu which has two or three options for the starter, the main dish and dessert. The menu changes everyday.... More

Went here during my trip in Lyon and loved it! It is a tiny restaurant with a one man kitchen. This is like going to a friends house for dinner and he happens to be an amazing chef. The meal changes every day so there is no point me going through the meal with you as what I had might... More

Went here last night in the middle summer. The food was brilliant and the chef came out to explain the menu to everyone before you make your selection. I cannot think of a negative. Only word of warning in summer the restaurant itself gets really hot so make sure you eat outside.

We were recommended this restaurant by our accommodation owners. We have now been twice! Each time a superb meal. The chef even managed his description of the menu for us in English! We would come back again if we had more time. Very good value for such accomplished food.

I was looking for a place to have dinner, close to where i was staying. Small, menu presented to you by the chef.. whatever you choose, it will be a win!

The Restaurant Le Tibouren is really a secret in Lyon. It is a very small restaurant. The don´t have a real menu. Everyday they cook something different. Guests can choose between two entries, two main meals and two Desserts. The cook come to every table and explains everything very well in French, English or German. The food is really delicous.... Typically Lyon's place - small and narrow room. From other side, very good impression from the menu which has been verbosely introduced by the chef Alexander. So perfect were vegetable soup as well as lamb chicks and dorada fish as main course. The sauces fit perfectly, local red wine (Tibouren) is light and fresh and is appropriate to the courses.
