For a lunch budget of 33 euros including a glass of wine, this restaurant offers a classy cuisine with good service. However, the room is noisy due to sound reverberation from the ceiling, and so is the terrace facing one of Lyon's busiest streets.

Although well located, the place offers ok food but his owner who stays at the bar is rude and terrible. I nearly left the place.

Overall this was a pleasant weekday visit for dinner. The two male servers were friendly & their english language speaking skills were good. Entree & dessert were nice but the main meal steak medallion was a little tough - a cheap cut of meat. Similar problem with the chicken salad - chicken was a little on the dry side. House... More

I arrived in Lyon on a Saturday afternoon, and was directed to Cours Franklin Roosevelt to find a decent restaurant. I was a bit put off by the name -- it is quite touristy -- but the price of the full meal was appealing for a splurge, but too much to eat there more than once. A menu in English... More

We arrived on Monday in August , and the whole city is already very quite around 8:30, luckily this restaurant is open and we decided to give it a try. It turns out not bad at all, we have 2 tartare, one beef one tuna, both are good maybe the beef one is more authentic. We enjoyed it a lot... More

Le Rive Gauche had previously been a dining highlight for us in Lyon - alas, not anymore. The service was appalling - we were *with* a 'Madame de Lyon' and were still treated poorly. The menu selections have decreased over the years, so we decided on one of the steaks - well, mine had a piece of metal shaving in... More

Good fish. Restaurant, seems to be a favourite with the local so don't expect any help with English, but do expect good food and a busy friendly atmosphere.

The seafood was presented beautifully, but unfortunately made my adult daughter ill. The beef steak was tough and not great, but the burger (my first in Europe) was fine. The owner's specialty dessert of raspberry tart and creme brulee was absolutely wonderful. He is also a very personable man who posed for a picture and gave us his recipe for... More

Out of all the hundreds of restaurants in Lyon we chose this at random and were certainly not disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff, pleasant seating indoor or out and fabulous food with an intensity of flavour that was exceptional. Go there!
